Ok I had been reading a lot lately about the Instagram algorithm changing so I thought it was time to fire out some short form content on all the main platforms and see how the same piece of content performs across the different platforms. Hopefully this may help some of you getting started or trying to grow decide where to focus your attention! Or it’s just interesting to see the differences so let’s go, for reference I will link to the video which I have tested this with on YouTube at the end of this post! -
So I’ll list the platform and views gained in the first 21 hours -
Instagram reels - 901
TikTok - 1880
Facebook reels - 818
Twitter (note I do not pay for Twitter or x blue) - 123
YouTube shorts - 10682
So surprisingly YouTube seems to be the clear winner here, i was honestly expecting TikTok but this is good to see as YouTube has slightly better monetisation options on shorts for creators and also the ability to link to long form content. What do you make of these results? Is this sort of stuff helpful for creators, let me know, thanks.
Ps here’s the video I tested this with -
The Next PlayStation Portable - PSP 3 on the way?
