In 360 video production, the split between filming and editing efforts is often around 10% for filming and a staggering 90% for editing. This is because while filming with a 360 camera captures every angle simultaneously, removing the need for framing each shot, it introduces complex editing challenges.

As an editor, I need to stitch together footage from multiple lenses, ensure seamless transitions, and often deal with more significant file sizes and longer rendering times. This process requires not just technical proficiency but also a creative touch to effectively guide the viewer’s experience in a 360-degree space.

Two excellent resources for learning and inspiration are the official Insta360 channel and Ben Claremont's YouTube channel, which focuses on 360 video post-production.

The Insta360 channel offers concise video guides that are incredibly helpful for getting started and understanding the basics of 360 video editing. On the other hand, Ben Claremont's channel dives deeper into the nuances of editing 360 videos, offering more advanced tips and techniques. These resources are invaluable for anyone looking to improve their skills in this specialized area of video editing.

I found this video recently when I was debating swapping from PremierPro to Davinci Resolve.

This video shows some great AI editing tools in both software which can save a lot of time, especially if you want to cut audio with swapping between cameras in an interview according to who the speaker is or turn your voiceover into automatic subtitles.

Definitely some great tools I want to experiment with.

This is definitely the most comprehensive after effects tutorial I've ever seen! If you are beginner to ae or even if you just want to go back to basics (like I did as I thought myself how to use after effects a few years ago) it's great :)

So i just started using the YouTube editor as well as Vegas and the most decent video I found was this one. It's a year old but, IMO, better than most.
