"Nomen est omen" and that's why a Corsair serves very well as a pirate ship! 😉

Speed, firepower, good defense stats and a cargo-hold large enough to bring along some limpets and to feed starving pirate kids at home for months...

Build around the most essential weapon in a piracy scenario, the so called rocket propelled containment missiles, generally known as "Grom bombs", to disrupt any attempt to jump away before a trade is arranged...

Along comes a battery of frag cannons, way to strong for this kind of operation, but any warning-shot with them should be understood at once. And if not, there is a rebuy-option should the worst case happen and a salvo hit...

Same goes for two Pack-Hound-missile launchers, whose primary effect is as well supposed to be frightening the victims. Or, just in case, take out modules bypassing any kinetic defenses just by their numbers...

Concerning internals, there are enough options to balance modules according to personal demands, be it more cargo or less hull. Additionally, with her standard boost speed of 600 and a distro found at much larger ships usually, should provide enough energy not only to stop the prey, but to get out quickly and unharmed, in case something goes wrong or security forces show up...

And above all that, the dangerous look that will let any victim drop their weapons even before a shot is fired...

So: GO. BUY. NOW!

Thanks for the entry Jimmy0916 / Cmdr Donald Duck. This is very almost there, but can I point you to this part of the reward description and request a little extra info?

"However you decide to enter, be sure that the purpose of your build is clear and well-explained. Don't just tell us how you're outfitting/engineering it, but tell us why it works."

We're just looking for a couple of sentences about what makes it a good pirating build, so that others who see it are more likely to replicate your build and give it a whirl.

Thanks for the update Jimmy0916 / Cmdr Donald Duck, but rather than the insertion of the EDSY link, it was an explanation of the outfitting that we're looking for. In other words, what about your choice of modules makes this a good build for piratical activities?

With the corsair's plentiful internals, it's easy to outfit it to be a great miner. My build has 3 5A collector limpet controllers, and 136T cargo. The memorability allows it to easily orbit asteroids for core mining, and the 7A distro can easily cope with the 4 mining lasers.

This build has two applications for the more demanding and works phenomenally in them, like any new generation ship. This new ship is considered good in everything but for me both in terms of appearance and piloting it was created for combat, I really like the window located just above my head it gives me the opportunity to see my opponent a little faster and such differences can sometimes mean a lot.

Hi St4r_Lord. This is almost there, but can I point you to this part of the reward description:
