Hello, Eve Online community! I have a bounty idea I'd like to discuss, sparked by a post from @EveOnlineTutorials here.
What if we established a weekly bounty where we collaboratively analyze a PVP combat video? Many of the community members are experienced FCs and PVP pilots and could contribute their expertise. This could include everything from fit theory and fleet composition to event timelines and actual pilot actions.
The videos for bounty analysis should meet certain criteria: they should involve small-scale PVP with no more than 15-20 ships, to keep the analysis manageable and relevant. The video should show names or systems clearly to pull actual battle reports. Each participant would focus on a specific aspect of the combat to ensure comprehensive collaborative analysis rather than competitive submissions, one aspect, not all-in-one.
Submissions would need to explain the action, offer hypotheses on why things occurred, pinpoint mistakes and successes, and summarize key takeaways. We could even use CCP Twitch Fleet recordings and we might even get a combat log at our disposal, enhancing our analysis.
This initiative could evolve into a robust methodology for analyzing Eve combats - a useful skill for tournament commentators and unlocking a new career for content creation. This experiment is more like a collaborative work, than an individual challenge, something we do not see often in our bounties.
What do you think? Let's discuss this potential project and refine it together!
