Battle Report: Chamja System

This is new territory for me, but after witnessing an interesting fight, I decided to give it a shot.

The Story

It was almost 1AM, and I was in the Chamja (0.4) system, Genesis region, minding my own business. Cloaked at a safe spot, I was arranging things and preparing to call it a night. Suddenly, local chat became active, and within minutes, the population spiked to nearly 300 pilots! People were talking in local about Apostles, so I checked my directional scanner. To my surprise, I saw a bunch of Lokis, Tornados, and Tempest Fleet Issues. all parked on Chamja III Planet, where Sedition.'s Azbel was anchored. The attackers? Shadow Cartel and Minmatar Fleet Alliance. What started it? No idea- someone in local was trying to buy t-shirts, maybe that sparked the fight? Who knows!

After a 10-minute sub-cap brawl, mostly Lokis and Tornados vs TFI, Sedition. escalated by undocking dreadnoughts. The local count surged again, reaching around 450 as Deepwater Hooligans rolled in with about 40 Revelation Navys and 20 Zynitras.

Sedition. and their allies, United Federation of Conifers, countered by undocking even more caps: 16 Zirnitras, 9 Revelations, and 16 Revelation Navys. Shadow Cartel had 6 capitals (spoiler, 5 didn’t survive the night). What followed was a massive dreadnought brawl.

Who Was Shooting Whom?

It turned into a three-way battle with everyone firing on each other (a rare thing in EVE!). Even some battleships were firing at their own Apostle healers! Chaos & havoc!

Outcome

I don't know, I safely went to sleep. joking

Team Sedition. took the heaviest financial hit, likely due to their ability to re-field new hulls directly into the heat of battle. Despite the massive losses, all parties expressed satisfaction with the fight, with many expressing interest in repeating this format in the future. (source reddit)

on the 7th of this month EVE Online community has witnessed one the flowless battles with 0 ship casualties on the winner side and almost 7 Billion ISK lost on the loser side . this battle was one of many battles that the so called '' Governor Lee " the head of Absolute Order Alliance followed by other friends of the order went in the system " 7MD-S1 " and the system " UL-718" both in Null sec

this battle showed not only great ship formation and tactics of the 216 Pilots from Absolute Order and it's friends but also showed the cool head of Governor Lee's fast and strategic calls switching between two systems and monitoring all the variables . so after the last shot we can see that 54 ships were destroyed from " Siberian Squads " Alliance worth 6.66 Billion ISK we see Gilas , a Clymore , Huginns , and othe type of ships now turned into scraps for scavengers to enjoy .

We Also see a 100% efficiency and 263 K of inflicted damage from AO Alliance.

In the end AO Alliance has once again confirmed its capabilities and will to dominate that side of the verse in EVE Online ever changing Political map.

The Azariel’s Fall

Exactly a year ago, during a pub-crawling event at Fanfest, I found myself discussing with CCP Zelus how fast the new Angel Cartel Titan would be dusted. And here we are – 19 September marks the spot =)

On this date in 2024, Eve Online witnessed a truly rare and historic event – the destruction of its first-ever Faction Titan, the Azariel. This Titan, part of the Angel Cartel’s fleet, carries immense value and size, with an estimated worth of 750 billion ISK(it's hard to estimate, but I think it even more). However, what unfolded during Brave Piracy Day was anything but a typical battle.

Brief story

Sgt Matthew, the pilot of the Azariel, had stationed the Titan in Brave Collective’s capital system, K7D-II. For nearly 21 hours, the ship waited, seeking a worthy challenger at the system's sun. Positioned near low-security systems, K7D-II seemed like the ideal place to provoke a fight, the nearby Khanid lowsec systems open a window for a BOs hotdrop.

Throughout the 24-hour Brave Piracy Day, Brave Collective members fought each other in skirmishes, with the Azariel taking an active role. Titan obliterated several cruisers, pods, and even a Thanatos. However, no major external threats appeared.

Battle report (of the whole Pirate event): Battle Report Tool (evetools.org)

As the hours dragged on without significant opposition, Sgt Matthew made a bold decision. He sacrificed the fully officer-fit Azariel to his own alliance mates. The explosion was a historic first for the destruction of an Azariel Titan. and resulted in an ISK loss of 1.3 trillion.

Though not a traditional battle, the significance of losing such a rare ship stirred salty discussions within the Reddit boards. Some debated whether the kill truly counts, but loss is a loss.

Turns out, this event is 10 years old and bound to International Talk Like a Pirate Day, I made an extended article about the history of the event and titan loss in my blog.

Though I usually focus on major battles or significant sovereignty shifts, this event stood out as truly exceptional and deserving of attention within the community
