so.... a screen of a gg in local won't count? =)

I reckon we can do a tad better than that ;)

but it greatly helps to overcome salty moments when someone gets popped. Me think that is meaningful! Me cheer people and collect bodies to my "Box of people"!

During my inadvertent "Run Naked Through Nullsec" stream earlier today, I encountered a player while hunting for the relic sites in the Drone Regions of Nullsec.

I couldn't snag him due to his cloak, so I just decided to run the relic site in system and see what happened. As it turns out, he was also hunting for relics and we came to blows in the site.

We were both flying the Astero, but my ship had a lot more beef, with his tank failing. As a cherry on top, I managed to grab his pod, which happened to be a learning set.

Out of respect for the pilot and his willingness to fight, I sent him a contract for the hull he was flying and got a nice mail in return! I love these interactions in the EVE community because it shows that even though we may shoot each other, we're still all apart of the same community and deserve that mutual respect.

Interestingly enough, the "original content" filter also keeps me from including Zkill links in bounties.

Thanks Dydo! I'll flag this with Alex Sinclair first thing. Really appreciate you looking out for other members 🙂

I wasn’t sure whether to mention you or him, but I chose you since you were behind the last JA weekly update. Being part of the JA community is amazing, and it’s my pleasure to contribute to its growth!

Boomer's avatar

You can tag any of the JA team and we'll make sure it's handled 🙂 I'm so glad you're enjoying it here. There's no better sign of a great community than members going out of their way to help one another simply because they can 🧡

Cheers Dydo! Brother Grimoire, I'm not sure why the inclusion of a zkill link would be blocked by the original feature, but I'll try to get to the bottom of it. When you tried submitting it inside your bounty entry, did you also include the screenshots you've included here? It'd make sense if it was blocking a submission with non-verified screenshots.

Brother Grimoire's avatar

I tried both individually and it happenned both times

Thanks for the info, I've just reported this to our tech team. o7

I have a whole playlist that focuses on helping newer players understand various activities they can do and how they can get a great start in doing them.

With the announcement of the Mercenary Dens I forgot to step back

I actually stepped up, but this is one of my lovely magic gathering childhood memories.
Anyway I messaged some leads from Brave about the Mercenary Dens and got the greenlight to figure it out.

Step 1 (Gather people which are hyped)

I opened a Thread in Slack which explained a little bit the MD thematic and the idea behind the upcomming project.

Didn't take long and I got around ~15 people for my experimental group.
So we munched through all Information we could get. Prepping plans.
We only had one big Question, which also is a showstopper.
Will a MD cripple our SOV Plans by reducing the Workforce just a little bit?

In the meantime we made plans to travel to Zarzakh, to get our hands on the BPOs.
It was a success which led to a small first view Video of the happening.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/kBMSvzZ5dEM?feature=oembed

I don´t have issues to transport a billion a my Viator.
But on Patch day, a single System with special rules...
This let my EVE Sense thrill and i am in super safe mode.

Front Scout for the Hauler
Pinging whenever possible.
Anti Gank Fit, just in case.

Step 2Panic about indy skills xD

During the trip home I recognized that Kane Carnifex is very limited in Industry.
(No worrys i have 99% of all Missle skills)

I mean two indy slots that's close to basic.
Made some calls on the way and got my indy slots sorted.
Also it turns out back in my 13 years on some of my alts I got a little bit crazy in production & research.

Not sure if we were the first in game but we produced a MD and deployed within 3 hours after downtime. Credits to Davos Seaw0rth.

Myself produced around 150 MDs for the members in Brave until the 17.11
(This includes to move some materials which are short on Market)

Looks like we are sorted, let's do the planning.

Step 3I was working on this since Step 1, but you don´t know

With the upcoming Anarchy and the reduction of workforce it could disable upgrades.
How many people are willing to contribute to this?
How many Skyhooks do we have in our Space?
How many of these are on Temperate Planets?
How do we contribute in a fair way?
It´s eve, have a Backup plan.
Should we Tax them and how much?

--> We tax 35%, so join Duty. to be in Brave <--
-->For Example: Horde taxes you 80% <--

Many google sheets and write ups later we focused on the one thing which matters.
We are Brave and what's your Fun per Hour?

Initially we had figured out 66 MD Locations  to offer to our member base.
The other would be managed by the Heimdall Group.

Heimdall overwatches the Bifrost from his home the Himinbjörg (~ Sky Mountain/ Skyhook)
Further information about the Heimdall Group are unknown.

In short we decided to run a Lottery to give everybody a chance.
Since we have way over 2k Members, it would take +2 years until everybody could have a MD.

Step 4A Marble Race which…. was needed!!

Don´t let you fool by any other Information.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/EFeuoYA5dhQ?feature=oembed

We setup a google form to gather the signups.
Once the deadline hit, we finished the above marble race to lottery out the slots.
We already knew that everybody who has entered will get a slot.
But the plan was made with the marble race,so we have a marble race!

Step 5

Little happy accidents

Somehow in the process of gathering the Data for the System and Planets.
The rng function does not have sorted Systems and several google sheets.
A little error devil has started to live in my sheet.
Probably feeded by sleepiness.
Keep in mind we are on 17.11 here, the days before i done nothing else the juggling System and Planets in google sheets. This is true EVE :P

So the devil was Unrecognized, for now.

Until you inform your members about their slot.
Didn't take long. We received reports about systems overbooked.
Also people started trading their systems for a better System closer to home.
-> Panic.. cause i lost the overview and the trading works against me.

Biggest issue was that the official Overview,
also turned out to be the RNG Version which made it impossible to humanily check.

Vlookup my light in the dark for matching data.
But first of all I needed to triple check my System List for mistakes.

Good news I have found multiple lost places, which weren´t in the lottery.
The Bad news is that we have 3-4 Systems which are overbooked.
But the good news is that we have enough for everybody.

So after some group chats it looks like most problems are solved for now.

Step 6

??????

Step 7

Profit

But expect which IE will drop down to like 10.000 to 20.000 which would make the Centaph BPC around 1,4b to 700m. Who will know?

Step 8Future

Buyback Programm for IE

Fly safe and dangerously

This bounty feels a bit like cheating to me. When I thought about it, it turned out that as corp leadership, 50% of my Eve time are helping others.

I found this moment as more special though this week. I was flying out with some friends, one of them wanted to learn how to bomb other players. We went to Pochven, but we did not find any valid targets. In the end, I was getting tired and did not want to FC anymore, so I left the fleet at a station while picking up my old Trig-Standing-Heron. We went to a safe spot and after some explaining and theorycrafting, I was shot down and we got our bomber kill for the EVEning.

I did not record any of it and since using other people's footage is not an original work, I can only tell the story and include a killmail, but I think it was a fun moment and I think they enjoyed the tiny bombrun in the end.

Here come the screenshot,

This is what I try to do regularly: host free, open, public mining fleets on my boosted Orca. Allowing new players to enjoy a great boost to their mining yield, ore compression right in an asteroid belt, and, of course, cozy conversation in fleet chat.

This week, I visited Minmatar space, the great Pator system and its surroundings.

Overall, the fleet had 22 pilots, with 11 at peak. We mined five asteroid belts dry and discovered that the most beautiful country to visit is Brazil. (Interestingly enough, the fleet united people from Canada, Brazil, Germany, Finland, Italy, and more countries.)

Like in my last screenshot, such activity creating new connections and bonds between players, they find a new friends and can learn the game together. And im there to serve as a tutor, sharing my game knowledge and giving game tips.

I think the game lacks proper crime and punishment mechanics outside the typical CONCORD script, which, in my opinion, is largely ineffective. Let me quote a line from one of my fanfics Depths of Alsavoinon: A High-Risk Rescue that sums up my thoughts on CONCORD police:

"You float in the vacuum in circles for hours, then race off at the sound of a gunshot, only to find the victim already blown to pieces—or worse, it’s some poor pilot who made an accidental aggressive move, and now you’ve vaporized him for nothing."

Gankers are undeniably an important part of the EVE universe, and they’ve carved out their niche. This profession isn’t just about sadistic pleasure - it’s highly profitable, with plenty of ISK to be made. However, on the flip side, the role of the “people’s sheriff” is sorely missing.

Anyone who wants to act as a defender can only do so reactively, not proactively. There’s also no financial incentive - aside from the occasional donation from a grateful capsuleer. But since many players are AFK, they often don’t even realize they were moments from destruction and saved by someone’s intervention.

To address this imbalance, I found a small, young corporation, only four months old, that specializes in risking their ships to save others. I made a half-billion ISK donation to help cover their losses—both in time and ships—and to encourage them to continue their mission of making space a safer place, especially for the most vulnerable: new capsuleers.

Alex Sinclair I'm adding an unrelated video because otherwise, it does not allow me to submit the post. There is some sort of console mistake on your end related to the Instagram connection.
