Create an EVE time-lapse video!

Hey pilots, here's a new type of challenge for you: film and/or edit the most beautiful or interesting time-lapse video you can, using only in-game footage. It can be anywhere from two to 20-minutes long. It's not essential, but we recommend combining multiple time-lapsed clips into a single video for maximum effect.

What is a time-lapse video? A time-lapse video stretches out the frame rate, so that when played back at any average speed, time appears to be sped up. There are plenty of guides and examples online. We set a similar challenge for our Elite Dangerous community and we'll only award sufficiently impressive entries, so take this as an opportunity to show those commanders what capsuleers are made of.

For this video, I decided to focus on some of the less obvious animations in Eve Online. Many of use know how beautiful the planets, stars and asteroids are, but have you ever taken the time to look at how they change over time? This challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to hunt for a few good locations and I'd like to present three shots of Eve's covert beauty:

A timelapse video of a system called Jinizu from two perspectives; one next to the sun and then facing away from the sun for a view of the storm. The sound was so calming while I was in there recording this I decided to leave it in for ASMR enjoyers after doing a little EQ editing!

EVE Online, developed by CCP Games, is a complex MMORPG where players navigate a persistent universe in New Eden, piloting ships for combat, trade, mining, or exploration. The game features a player-driven economy with no safe zones for PvP, allowing for deep character and ship customization, including tech tiers from basic to advanced. Players can join or form corporations and alliances, claiming sovereignty in lawless space leading to massive conflicts. With one server for all players, EVE is known for emergent gameplay where real-world sociology studies have been conducted, centered around its intricate political and economic systems.
