Lumin's EVE Online videos are quickly becoming some of our favourites. They're hard to watch without grinning. In this one, "potentially their best fight ever" (which we hope they don't mind us saying, doesn't necessarily mean that much) Lumin, aka Lurm the Slurm, aka totally not Deckard Cain, successfully defended themselves solo from a Tengu attacker. Here's the killmail followed by their description and video:
"Lurm the Slurm is here once more to regale you with a tale of betrayal and triumph. This old Slurm was just minding their own business out in the furthest reaches, robbing space banks as one does, when one of their trusted allies decided that betrayal sounded like the right kind of play. The fight, however, did not go according to plan for the scoundrel, and Lurm the Slurm very soon found they had the upper hand in their Bellicose that cost less than a tenth of the Tengu that assaulted them.
"A tale as old as time, truly, but lived through with such vigour that it is refreshed for our modern age. The tale in question also features an appearance of an old lore keeper that many know and love.
"Enjoy, and relish in what is perhaps only the third time that Lurm the Slurm has legitimately taken another down in space."
Kudos to our runners up: SeriesPro for a clean Tholos takedown and Kane Carnifex for an 'unconventional' video about destroying an Ishtar. You can find them both here. And if you think you can do better, now's your chance. This week's KotW is now live:
