It took a LONG time, about 50-60 man hours of work, but I did it, I created my LARGEST real-life tribute to EVE Online that I am happy to now own and have crafted with my own hands FROM SCRATCH (anyone else get plaster splinters before from hand sanding? No? Just me? Ok)!!!

Measuring in at 28 inches long, 18 inches tall, and 52 inches around the middle. I am so proud of this, and I hope you enjoy it!

This was a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoy reading and looking at the pictures and videos <3

I've said it already on Discord, but I'll say it again: this is amazing! Now you just need somewhere to put it...

There is a place in England, where humans created a large white horse that is only visible from the air. The figure inspired me to create my own piece of hill art for this reward. Using everything I could find in the barn, I built this large Rifter and was amazed myself at the effect it produced. I was constantly climbing up and down the ladder to check the perspective and lines, but it was a lot of fun to make!

BTW I forgot to add this but I think it might be nice as reference.

First of all, huge thanks to JustAbout and CCP for creating this amazing reward challenge!

What looked simple on paper quickly turned into a chain of… well, I wouldn’t call them failures, let’s just call it a C.A.A.E. (a Chronicle-of-Aligned-Accidental-Events).šŸ˜„

But here I am, with a 290Ɨ112 meter Avatar titan tribute immortalized just off the scenic shore of Cyprus.

At some point, I seriously considered picking up my SUP to make life easier, but now I can proudly call myself an expert in semi-submerged navigation. Probably.

Here’s the full post, with maps, photos, fails, and GPS drama:

Alex SinclairĀ Huge thanks to JustAbout and CCP for the recognition, and for fueling my next press trip! I’ll make sure the reward goes to good use. A new lens, perhaps? Or a proper sports watch with an uploadable routes hehe

You're very welcome. You earned it. And hey, there's always PLEX!

Full commit on size or can you paint better with just water?

I highly recommend not using spray paint in public places.
But Water.. Water, my friend won't harm the streets.

Initially I wanted to do a chalk paint with liquid chalk…
DIY, so I blended Chalk, mixed it with water and started painting.
You can spot the Area in the Video :P
Just making the marks on the street was already around 1,5 Liter of Water.
Also i have the feeling the amount of Childchalk isn“t enough for this size.
Just marking the EVE was one Stick… not talking about painting it out.
(in the end once it was super dry it actually was visable… but grinding Chalk in a mixer uhhh jeah.. maybe YOU shouldnĀ“t do what i do. Only grinded blue, donĀ“t know if the other colors smell different but this how you could smell color.

Too Hot to paint… no not here in Germany.
Why not do a water painting? So got test run but the camera ankle wasn“t enough to make it BIG enough since.. We may have a lack of Quality but a huge advantage with size.
Only issue is which paintings here are matter of time.

Version 1 as a try out and proof of concept, with the better Filming is around 25x4 Meter.
The second Version is bigger but the Filming is missing the nice highspot and A STABLE HAND.
And we got every possible license plate... which i need to blure :P
Second version i was counting 35-40 Meters x 5 Meters.

Chalk is gone once it rains.
Water is gone once it vapours.

Does something like a painting count? Does the art have to be "exposed" somewhere in a public place, or is a real-life painting exposed in my house enough?

Hey BeetsByDre911! A real-life painting hung in your house works. Best of luck!

So where is th 15 Meter cloaked lego Astero, anybody?
No takers...
nobody?

Wouldn“t be the first time.

I built one but now I can't find it.

Don“t step on lego, that hurts.

There seem to be not too many entries for this reward, so I wanted to share this one. It was quite obviously not made for this event. A friend and I build this pod out of snow during the winter of 2023. Nevertheless it was a lot of fun so I want to tell about it.

Maybe it is an inspiration for people that live in a polar region or just pilots that want to dream of a cold winter when their thermometers explode...

Too bad it’s summer right now where I’m at otherwise I would have preferred to take this approach for my submission haha would have saved me a lot of sanding !

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Aha, sadly we can't award it a prize, but thank you for sharing it anyway. It's great!
