This time, bigger really is better.
You may have seen our Campfire Tales reward, in which we're challenging you to tell your best EVE Online story for your share of $3,750. That's the biggest prize pot that Just EVE Online has offered for a single reward. This reward, meanwhile, offers one entrant the chance to win the biggest single prize Just has ever offered: $1,000.
The challenge? Create the largest real-life tribute to EVE Online that you can! Here's what you need to know:
Entrants can submit either images or video of their tribute. The ideal submission would contain both: an image to clearly show its size and a video to show off its glory.
We'll weight our judgment based 80% on the size of the tribute and 20% based on its quality. What do we mean by that? Well, size is the main thing, but if one entrant creates a large but low-effort chalk drawing that looks kind of like the EVE logo and another builds a perfect wooden recreation of a Jackdaw that's slightly smaller, then you can be confident that the larger prize is going to the Jackdaw.
In the case of contested submissions of similar size and quality, we'll do our best to judge which is the largest. To support your case, provide additional evidence of the size of your tribute if possible. For example, you could include a tape measure or a common object for scale alongside your tribute.
As well as the top prize of $1,000, we're offering a second-place prize of $150, a third-place prize of $100, and 15 $10 runner-up prizes.
You're allowed to work with others to create your submission, but it will be up to you to organise any sharing of the winnings. In the unlikely event that multiple entrants claim credit for the same creation, we'll favour the first person to make the submission but will consider arguments from all parties as to who was chiefly responsible for its creation.
The tribute must be newly created for this reward. Our apologies to anyone who topiaried a tree into a Vexor in 2019.
And that's it. Get thinking. Get creative. Get making. From crop circles to papier-mĆ¢chĆ© to sky writing, the sky is the limit.
