Last year, we ran one of our favourite-ever bounties for GM Week - 'write an EVE Online limerick'. Check out the winners in this piece of curated content: There Once Was a Man from Jita. As an ode to that bounty, we have a new poetic challenge for you: we want you to master the ancient Japanese art of the haiku (but make it about spaceships, of course).

The haiku format is beautiful in its simplicity. A haiku only has three lines, doesn't rhyme, and should follow the following syllable structure:

1. First line (five syllables)

2. Second line (seven syllables)

3. Third line (five syllables)

Easy, right? Now you just need to make it sound poignant. Here's our attempt:

Crusading for what?

Amarr, a man, a mission

Apocalypse, soon.

Feel free to submit more than one haiku, but as always it's only one prize per person.

Once the deadline closes, we’ll pick 15 submissions, award $4 to each of the winners, and may share them as curated content.
