I've still not read the Sandman series, but the show was awesome! At times it did feel a bit style over substance, but it was always impressive, and the spin-off series Dead Boy Detective really shares that weirdly grim, eerie, slightly psychedelic tone.
There were talks of a few spin-off series, and the one I'm waiting for is their version of Constantine!

No, I want Sandman back, Netflix needs to stop doing this, creating amazing shows, cancelling them, the actors go elsewhere, realise they screwed up and then try and create spin-offs. Not saying I won't give this a go but Netflix needs to sort it's S**T out.
I blame focus groups for that!!!
