Smile was my second favorite film of 2022 (Terrifier 2 beat it by a nose). From the trailers for Smile 2 compared to the trailers for the first, I am cautiously optimistic by the change in environment for the protagonist.
I think Smile 2 has big shoes to fill and, depending on how they decide to handle it (proper “sequel” or new story), it could be a banger.

Yeah, I'm excited for this one. The first film was a really fun time. I can't really remember any specific plot details of where the first film left off but I'd be happy with a film where it just happens to somebody else, honestly
Urgg I am such a softie I hate horror films. Everytime I see the trailer I have to just look away!! It’s great that the first film did so well but not so good for my nightmares haha hopefully I’ll get brave enough to watch one day. I’m still scared of Jeepers Creepers, The Ring and The Grudge haha
Jeepers Creepers is so good I love it. And yeah those J horror flicks in sound design alone have really earned their place among the great horror flicks.
Smile really nailed its atmosphere and there are a couple jumps that even get me after decades of horror lol. Not for the faint of heart!
