Announcing our new sign-up system! (and why you’ll shortly be logged out…)

A heads-up: all logged-in members will be temporarily logged out a little later today. This is a quick public service announcement to tell you, firstly, not to worry - just log back in and all will be well.

And secondly, to tell you the exciting reason why this is happening!

We’re delighted to be rolling out a new signup and login system. From now on, anyone signing up (or logging in) to Just About will have two ways to do so:

• A simple one-click handshake with a Google or Apple account,

• Or to receive a code at any email address, and sign up using that instead

Importantly, both methods are passwordless, not to mention smoother than a Nat King Cole record on an ice rink. All of us here at Just About have had a chance to test it and we’ve gotten into the platform so quickly we’ve barely noticed doing so. No more remembering passwords, or asking Google to do so and then getting annoyed when it doesn’t work. It should remove a lot of friction for all members, and welcome new ones to the platform in the right way.
