Phew. Big day, eh? Today, we rolled out a new community as well as four of what we’re now calling ‘Spaces’. It’s a lot of new places to hang out, so much so that we needed to reorganise the left-hand navigation menu. Check out Rich's announcement article for more details, but in this week’s Thursday Thoughts we ask: what do you think?
Communities are more closely linked to a specific franchise or IP, such as EVE Online or the newly introduced Nightingale. Conversely, the new Spaces, which cover Film & TV, Tech, Music, and Sport, are broader in nature, like the Video Games and Content Creators Spaces they join. With live bounties and discussions picking up steam, it’s time for us to catch our breath and get your first impressions.
What do you think of the new distinction between communities and Spaces? Is it clear and how do you think it’ll shape your understanding of the platform? What do you think of the launch bounties or discussion topics? Which other Spaces would you like to see in the future, and what kind of content would be at home there?
Let us know in the comments.
