Hey folks, it’s another tricky week in a row for Feature Friday because, as you’ll have noticed, there are so many more Spaces and communities to choose from! Our usual format returns next week, but today’s Feature Friday is another quick-fire edition taking in all of our new expansion. Except this time, the members have featured themselves. How’s that, you ask? Read on.
Nightingale - Introduce yourself
Unlike the new Spaces, which you can read more about below, the Nightingale Community is dedicated to the survival-crafting game of the same name. Members from around the platform have already flocked to discuss its facets, the co-op gameplay to the stunning environments and the beastly creatures. Nightingale enters early access in just a few days, so what better time to introduce yourself?
Film & TV - Introduce yourself
Despite being live for mere hours, Film & TV is flourishing. The intro thread is quickly becoming a member-curated watchlist extending across genres and generations alike; sci-fi and fantasy are prominent in the recommendations, but a range of biopics, ‘80s action flicks, and gritty crime dramas are also spliced into the mix. Are you an aficionado or simply looking to expand your cinematic palette? If so, join the discussion, share your favourites, and pick up a recommendation or two.
Our new Spaces were created to encompass broad areas of interest, and Just About Tech illustrates that principle in microcosm. Our members are already sharing tips, thoughts, and reviews on tech as diverse as game engines, coffee-making alarm clocks, robot vacuums, and PC building. With tech touching on virtually every aspect of modern life, the discussions are bound to be as varied as the gadgets they concern.
As Film & TV has become a watchlist, so is Just About Music (or JAMS, as @RSJ has instructed me to say) a growing playlist of diverse bands and artists. Check the intro thread for recommendations from such genres as heavy metal, ‘70s political folk rock, and the ones that underpin so much of modern pop music: jazz and blues. Live or studio, streaming or physical, instrumental or lyrical, JAMS is the place to share your jams, so join us and let us know who’s your favourite, and who have you always wanted to see!
Sport is a powerful way to bring people together. It doesn’t matter if it’s competitive Korfball, a few rounds of golf on the weekend, or dipping your toe in the water while surfing. When your country, your team, your favourite player, or even you yourself are in the spotlight, we’re all right there with them. The new Sport Space is a way for us to come together, either to celebrate or commiserate, so long as it’s all in good sport!
