Hi folks, as the weekend approaches we’re throwing a slight curveball your way! Here’s a quick update on some recent and upcoming changes here on the platform.
New format in JAJA
We’re taking another look at our regular updates here on JAJA. Here’s the new plan:
Mondays: Member Monday
This is Feature Friday but in a new time slot. A lot of great stuff gets shared over the weekend, so we thought it’d make more sense to do this on Mondays. As we grow, we’ll also need some help keeping on top of everything, so we’re inviting you to head out into the community each weekend and tell us about cool member-created discussions, replies, or submissions from the past seven days. Tag me Boomer if you see something you’d like to nominate for Member Monday!
Tuesdays and Thursdays are a little bit of everything
You’ll see some Thursday Thoughts and the last few remaining Meet the Teams, but we’re also going to pull a ton of other ideas from a ‘grab bag’ of flexible content to keep things fresh. Let us know if you have any favourites!
The weekly update is moving to Fridays (like this one!)
With so much going on during the week, moving the update to Friday lets us tell you about it that much sooner, and any feedback you’d like to share with us will be fresh in your mind. We’ll also remind you to share Member Monday suggestions here throughout the weekend!
A new bounty experiment in JAVG
In case you missed Rich’s post yesterday, we’re running an exciting experiment over in Video Games. Over the next few months we’ll be running bounties around seven specific gaming IPs, two of which - on Helldivers - are already live! The thing to know is that engagement of these will be of great interest to us, so if you care about these games, please get involved. Check out our announcement post for more details.
Bug fixes and optimisations
It’s been a busy week here at Just About, with our product team releasing a slew of bug fixes and platform optimisations. Members can now edit their own discussions, and your screen should no longer bounce when replying to a thread. Also, bounties no longer appear as new discussions in the live feed, and JustABot will now notify Discord admin if it’s been added to a channel without permissions to post.
