August 2024 payout
On Sunday, members who have earned $25 or more from bounties and organic rewards throughout August received their monthly payout. Don’t worry if you fell a little short as your earnings have rolled over, giving you a headstart on the September payout. And if you have received (and spent!) your earnings, share your payout purchases with fellow JAvians!
‘Big bounty’ backstory
A year-long quest for the grand EVE Online mystery bounty - the biggest bounty in Just About history - came to a close last month. With help from Jackbeard and Granny Jabaddon, the enigmatic Mŷs Tæ Rae pitted members against one another in a series of four $100 bounty challenges, each leading to the grand $500 mystery bounty! Bug fixes and optimisations
With a new cohort of members, this week our tech team has been fine-tuning the bounty setting and submission process. Now it’s easier than ever to share submissions that meet the bounty criteria, but even so, it’s always worth reading the descriptions for those extra tips!
Here are some of the bug fixes and improvements:
Bounty submissions can only be made if they meet the accepted submission types (text, image, video etc.).
If a bounty asks for original content, submissions can only be made via connected accounts (YouTube, Instagram etc.)
If a minimum word count is set, submissions can only be made if they meet this thresholds meeting this threshold
Fixed a bug causing the reply and react buttons to disappear on mobile devices
Notifications are only sent after the discussion is made public rather than when they are submitted. This prevents tagged members being notified when a post is pending or in the moderation queue.
