Dreamcast Turns 25

25 years ago, Sega entered the console race for the last time with their Dreamcast. An incredibly innovative machine capable of playing with other's online, bringing Sonic to true 3D with his amazing Adventure, and having arcade perfect ports of Capcom's most revered Fighting Games.

It had a great advertising campaign of releasing on 9/9/99 for $199 and was the first of the sixth generation of consoles to release.

Sadly it couldn't compete against one of the strongest line up of consoles: Sony's Playstation 2, Nintendo's GameCube, and newcomer Microsoft Xbox.

Did any JAers have a Dreamcast? What were your favourite games? And what games are stuck on this system you wish would get a re-release?

I was born three months after the release of one of the best video games ever made! I had the pleasure of enjoying my childhood playing memorable games like Sonic Adventure and Marvel vs Capcom. The nostalgia is enough to move me, it's a good feeling to see that it's been 25 years...
