Hey folks, we’re not sure how October passed so quickly but there’s a lot to catch up on! Join us as we look back at record-setting payouts, evergreen rewards, and platform updates from the past week.
October 2024 payout
Last Friday was a record breaker for the monthly payouts. More earnings were paid and to more unique members than ever - and for more than half of them, it was their payout! Were you among them? Let us know how you're treating yourself! Don’t worry if you didn’t meet the $25 threshold; your earnings have rolled over, giving you a headstart on November’s payout.
Evergreen rewards
Our bounties are evolving! While some rewards will remain time-limited and awarded in the old way, most will, from now on, be evergreen rewards. These will have much longer deadlines, and submissions will be reviewed and awarded regularly throughout their duration. This should enable us to keep many more rewards live at once, giving you more opportunities, and you won’t have to wait as long before the prizes land in your wallet. Bug fixes and optimisations
With the monthly payout and launch of the evergreen rewards landing in the same week, we’ve also been busy on bug fixes and optimisations. This means:
Members are no longer notified when a reward is scheduled or in draft, with notifications only being sent once the reward goes live;
Reward submissions can now be awarded at any time, with the reward closing once the award pool reaches $0;
The UI for rewards now shows rewards remaining, rather than time remaining;
From now on monthly payouts will always use the primary PayPal email address when processing payouts;
A caching issue experienced by new members on the main feed has been fixed.
