Another fun discussion from the Just About community, this time about our nostalgic journeys to the digital frontier on when/how we all first experienced the internet! I was very pleased with just how different our stories are; it was an exceptional dialogue.

A nostalgic and cultural view of technological evolution! I still have a floppy disk with old photos!😆 Computers have really evolved from simple calculators to intelligent machines. This speech was very interesting!👍🏻

I was thinking after we finished... how my age group is technically Millennial, and while there are some aspects I can relate to, I find more similarity with Gen X. Wondering if that is due to my country being locked behind the Berlin Wall and western technology reaching us later? I'm early 1980s, and I can firmly say that people born a couple of years before or after me had a completely different life growing up than the kids born in late 1990s. That can't simply be classed as the same generation.
I'm firmly planted in the millennial generation and I've never felt like one lol. Granted, these generation labels are strictly for stretch of years you were born in, and I feel people like to equate values and characteristics to generations which isn't super fair.
My first time using internet
was in a INTERNET CAFE that l was visit for to copy somes pages from a book in the Dominican Hight School and l saw somebody talking with the PC using the keyboard
and l asking what this people are doing and a coworker say :
“They are SURFING in internet
Surfing..? Like on the beach..? And somebody show me a NAVEGATOR Named NETSCAPE Later AOL and ICQ for me was like to discover the TV 1.1
And now internet is our everything
