We now have the evergreen rewards for more than 20 days now, and I think you could see how things are going now with this new kind of reward, and I wish to share my thoughts with all you. And most of them are great thought and I want to congratulate all the Just About team for the good work and attention.
The new kind of rewards was announced at November 5th by Rich in the post below, so if you want to know how it work better this is the place!
How we saw in the comments of this post a lot of people was worried how things would impact in the JA site, including me, in one of the common concerns was about what would happen with what I call Podium Rewards, that gives us some days or weeks to make an task share it and the best ones would receive high prizes. This was an unnecessary concern since this transitional rewards still the same, with a relative short deadline and will give the high prizes for the best ones.
And about the the other concern is that we though that we would have low effort submissions, I really saw it almost happening in the beginning but I think everybody notice that this rush was't necessary since there are evergreen rewards with 100 rewards available, and this was great for communities outside the videogame, like Film & TV and Sport, that was common to have rewards with almost this amount of rewards available and jus 20 submissions, now this rewards has the chance of give more prize to more people, specially for new users that are just arriving!
And in those days we have some great changes as well, the rewards page now show the Podium Rewards and Evergreen Rewards differently and this makes easy for us to understand which one is each. The Evergreen will show only the rewards available and he Podium will show the days remaining. Now in the end of each reward we now have when the deadline of the reward will be, a great addition. The only thing I miss is just a filter that I can filter and list the reawrds in a specific order.
And finally yesterday we have the Curators’ Pick! what is fantastic and I loved the idea so much, you can read about it in this link
So again I want to congratulate the Just About team, and want to ask to keep this passionate work, all the devs, staff, administration and modders! This site is amazing!
