No sooner had we agreed that this might be a cool idea for an end-of-year reward than a few of you started a discussion about Spotify Wrapped-style packages in which not all opinions were positive! Fortunately though, the critical comments were about the platform telling you what it thought was important about your year (plus creepy data gathering), which doesn't apply to our idea, because...
We'd love to see you create your own 'Just About Wrapped'!
The content is entirely up to you. You can tell the story of your own personal year on Just About, or the journey of the platform itself (e.g. in terms of community launches, or new features like the one we announced today). You can put together your favourite pieces of member content, or something else entirely - it's all good.
The medium and structure is your call too. We'll accept videos or images - remember to submit through linked social media! - or writing, and issue prizes according to overall quality, as assessed by us and by community reaction.
We've rarely offered quite such a free-form reward as this one, so we've got a broad scope of prizes on offer to reflect the range of viable submissions. There's a large podium of five top prizes valued between $60 and $20, a higher tier of five further runner-up prizes worth $10 apiece, and then 20 more $3 rewards which we expect will go to those who just fancy summing up their year in a few written paragraphs - nothing wrong with that and we're excited to read your breakdown of the year, but it (probably) won't be eligible for the very top prizes.
This is a time-limited 'podium' reward, in which submissions will only be judged on January 7, 2025.
