Hello everyone, My name is Valerio, my artist name is Kethervir. I met just about on the advice of a friend and fellow streamer, I started doing bounties, but I certainly didn't expect to find such a beautiful environment, warm communities and passionate people, it's really a surprise every day to discover new things on this platform, the bounty and community system as it is has helped me a LOT to overcome some bad times that I've been facing recently and I must say that unexpectedly it has awakened a new motivation in me to activate my creativity and good mood again. I like how you do things and I really hope it lasts over time because I'm already starting to fall in love a little.
I'm starting to introduce myself in this group then, mainly because music is my lifestyle, but I also have many other interests, so I will introduce myself differently for each community of reference with which I have something in common.
As for music specifically, I have to say that I don't remember when I first heard a song, nor at what age exactly I started playing an instrument, the fact is that these "ordered sounds" (a beautiful reference) have always accompanied me and, depending on the experiences I have assimilated (such as the Borg) my taste has changed a lot over time. I have always respected, but also found unaware, people who say "I listen to everything" by asking some technical questions to them, then it is easy to discover that most of the people who say it mean that they listen to the music they find on the radio or that of the commercials. However, I must say that after having explored many different genres and knowing that I can always discover new ones, I also often find myself saying for simplicity "I find beauty in all music"..
I love playing music, depending on the instrument I become another person, I vibrate and express myself differently.. I really appreciate both playing alone and with others. I find it a very strong spiritual experience in both cases. In particular I play the piano, the bass, the guitar and lately I am learning to play the French horn. I have always studied as a self-taught and my studies led me to explore many different genres: jazz fusion, reggae, 70s experimental and progressive rock, heavy metal, thrash metal, death metal, symphonic black metal, brutal technical death, grind and deathcore... always dividing the fact of playing metal with the bass and other genres with the keyboard.. then at a certain point I also discovered how synthesizers worked and I explored electronic music, so I started from commercial dance to end up preferring dnb, edm, dubstep, synthwave, cyberpunk, chiptune, darkwave..
until one day that all genres lost their meaning. So, I began to be passionate about composing soundtracks, which had always fascinated me and I had also played a little, but I had never delved into it. So I began to study orchestral composition and a world opened up to me. Everything I had known until now made sense, all the knowledge flowed towards soundtracks, even the technical and IT knowledge thanks to videogames. So since then I use Ableton and all the music passes through there. Due to life events that I have faced, I have never had the luck to make myself known or to be able to do important projects, but the drive to create sounds, melodies, to experiment with instruments, to meditate with sound, has never left me and has always accompanied me everywhere, wherever I went. For a few years now I have specialized in cinematic and hybrid orchestral soundtracks of adventure, action, drama and suspense type of theme, but as soon as I feel inspired, I always try to explore new stuff.
It would be nice in this community if there is the possibility of exchanging musical tastes and even more wonderful if, among you, there were other musicians who could listen to their creations. It is always nice to listen to the way in which you interpret in music what you perceive from the universe, I find it to be something extremely intimate and personal.. something that speaks about you in a universal and symbolic language. For the rest, I will not dwell too much on the references of the groups that I love, since it is already a very long message, I will write just the ones that are closest to my heart.. there would be many and too many to write and in order not to do wrong to some artist that I would forget, I will refer only to those who have profoundly influenced my way of composing. Pat Metheny, Frank Zappa, Iron Maiden, Death, Dimmu Borgir.... You do not know what an effort I had to make to name only a few...lol
I hope i dont annoying you with such a long message.. anyway, have a good continuation to everyone and still nice to meet you. I hope soon to exchange, listen and read about musical matters from all of you.
