For those who don't know of him, Steve Albini was the producer of iconic alternate rock albums like Nirvana's In Utero and the Pixies' Surfer Rosa. He was the first music producer whose name I learned, and his sound is so raw and distinctive. He's always been very outspoken about how he feels about the music music industry, and while I probably have disagreed with his puritanical views on music itself more often than not, I always found his takes super insightful
