You cannot understand how many years this poster is showed in my room. Is lived my life and evolution with it. I know, probably is not a particular wonderful memorabilia, but for me could speak a lot of story if only he can :D

Mine is the double vinyl of the amazing Interstellar's soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer. First, it is a limited edition, I have the number 734 of 15000. It has side A, B, C and D...but with morse code. And the music...I have no words to describe what I feel when I listen to it.

As a preface for this, I'll have to give some personal backstory (I know, sorry). My dad passed away from cancer almost 12 years ago, when I was 21. It really messed me up for the better part of the last 12 years. Since then, I've got into vinyl records, and started collecting my favorite albums (mostly newer albums, but primarily anything I considered a "no-skip"). I got into it for the same reasons I'm sure most people get into it - there's just something special about having a tangible/tactile process to listening to music you love.

The other day, I found two boxes packed full of records that my dad had collected through his teens and into his 30's. I grabbed a handful of artists I recall him talking about, but that I'd never listened to before. It has been so cathartic going through and listening to these records. Not only do I feel like I'm being reconnected to him in a sense, but I'm also hearing great albums from great artists for the first time.

Just using this one as an example. Freetime by Spyro Gyra. It's so unwaveringly fun and positive. Just like Dad.

Thank you for sharing TheHermit, this is beautiful. My entire record collection has come from my father, and even though he's still with us, I still love discovering music through his records as a way to connect with who he was as a younger man. I don't know Freetime by Spyro Gyra, but I'll give it a listen.

P.S. What a gorgeous record player.
P.S.S. I have very similar sake cups!

Hello my people, from JUST ABOUT last year I was lucky enough to see the show of the ABBA group called ABBA VOYAGE

in the city of London, which is made of holograms and of course I took the opportunity to bring back some memories, which I show you in this video.

These bands are from overseas Anamanaguchi from US and Last Dinosaurs from Australia so getting to see them in smaller and more intimate venues was amazing.

Last Dinosaurs was a show in Manchester Day & Night Cafe. I had just come back from London the previous day from seeing ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION so onto gig #2. I got there super early so even got to see them perform a sound check and wait inside compared to the other gig goers that queued up in the Manchester rain.
Gig was amazing and since I was at the front thrashing away, the bassist gave me the set list!
I lined up for the merch store and cheekily asked one of the clerks if I could have the poster they had up at the venue advertising the gig. Suffice to say she sneakily obliged (don't ask don't get) and finally got to meet the band and get my ticket signed. It was actually a spare ticket that I couldn't find anyone to go with so that's why it was in pristine condition.

Getting everything framed up is an encapsulation of an amazing show!

Anamanaguchi - similar situation. I met the lead guitarist when I was hanging out ahead of the show. He was on the way in with the band's dinner (pizza obvs) and I spotted him. He said he'd see if there was time to sign my vinyl but soon afterwards came back out to do so and took a picture with him.
As it was a small show the band also came out after the show and signed merch and pictures with fans which is always cool to see.
I actually got to see them a second time in Manchester on the same tour. The lead guitarist recognised me again on the street outside the venue and my work colleague who had came with me this time thought he was just a mate of mine
