I haven't gotten used to mouse and keyboard yet, so I use a controller. Controller on Nightingale is functional, but kind of clunky and unmanageable at times. I have to keep my mouse at hand to get to certain things. What I would like to see is improvements to the inventory and other menu associated tabs on controller. You can't quite navigate as smoothly between the menu tabs as you can with a mouse. For example, if you want to hover over the sidebar pop for a blueprint to read needed augments and stuff, you pretty much have to use a mouse. I'm also a big fan of reading lore and descriptions which is not always a smooth process. Changing settings on controller is a huge hassle and you can't really get to some settings without a mouse. Adding a cursor to the controller's menu functions would help a lot or just making it easier to get to everything in the menus, maybe via a different layout for controller users.

Definitely, the spell UI needs some changes. Currently, switching between three spells via the radial menu is very inconvenient. You can't see which spell you have selected, you can't switch between them quickly, and you can't cast one quickly either. Although the latter can be changed by keybind swap.

I know it can be challenging, given you can potentially carry up to 15 spells and have duplicates. But I think it's quite easy to show three squares (spell slots) of the weapon you are currently wielding and highlight the one you have selected. The switch between them could be something like Alt+1, Alt+2, Alt+3.

The companion gear and inventory management UI could be improved. At the moment, it lacks the functionality to use your 'hands', so to share a mining pick that's on your hotbar, you need to unequip it, put it in your inventory, then transfer it to their inventory and place it in their hands.

Firstly, add hotbars to the trading/managing UI.

Secondly, allow items to be moved directly from your slots to your companion's equipment slots with a single drag-and-drop.

It seems logical; if you have a knife in your hand or on your belt, why would you need to put it in your backpack to pass it to someone nearby? =)
