Hey Trainers!
So, this morning, I opened the app to do a few catches. I made an excellent Pokéball throw and got an absolutely massive amount of experience. Plus, I had a Pinap Berry up, and instead of the expected 6, I got 12 candies! I was like, "Whoa!" I started digging for info, and here’s a small recap of what I’ve learned:
Event Details
When: July 17, 2024, at 10 AM (local time) - July 22, 2024, at 8 PM (local time)
What: New Pokémon debuts, event bonuses, special wild encounters, and themed raids.
New Pokémon Debuts
Tandemaus and Maushold: For the first time, catch these 9th gen Pokémon. You can find Tandemaus in Field Research, Timed Research rewards, and Party Play encounters. Evolve Tandemaus into Maushold with 50 Tandemaus Candy.
Event Bonuses
4x XP for catching Pokémon (this is the moment you want to use a lucky egg)
2x Candy for catching Pokémon
Increased Friendship Levels for sending Gifts, trading Pokémon, and battling with friends
Tip: Use Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws to rack up the XP!

Event Research Tasks
Timed Research: Complete tasks to score encounters with Tandemaus, other event-themed Pokémon, Stardust, and XP. Make sure to finish these tasks before the event ends!
Field Research: Spin PokéStops to grab Event Field Research Tasks, which can get you encounters with Tandemaus, Galarian Slowpoke, Slowpoke, Hisuian Voltorb, Voltorb, Darumaka, Galarian Darumaka, Koffing, Combee, Vanillite, and Deino.
AAAAaaand of course Pokemon Go Debuts: Tandamous And Maushold!
There is not much info about it yet, but seems you will have the chance of encountering and catching Tandemaus as both a Field Research and Timed Research reward.
