I can respect getting a Christmas gift 2 months in advance

The MSRP of $599 stings a bit, for sure. But it’ll likely arrive around mid-December anyway.

It's outside of my budget currently, but looks like a really neat device! For now I have an 8TB external HDD, slow, but good for storing raw footage I'm not currently working on. Probably I'll only look for another option if that one is full, but will definitely keep this in mind.

I try to avoid any non-redundant storage solutions. But I also have a temp storage for stuff I do not mind losing

I ask as I am burning though external hard drives when creating my content and they are as slow as a week in jail

External drives are non-redundant. If there is any error, all your data will be lost. It works for throwaway temp content, which you are ready to lose.
