It's another museum design contest! But rather than a seasonal theme, this one is all about the exhibits: they must all have the 'mortal' trait. That means animals from Zooseum, or plants or fish from the base game: create the ultimate museum of living things!

Here's what to do:

Working from scratch, create a museum, or a very large section within one, in which all exhibits are mortal. That means fish, plants, or animals: we want to see the ultimate museum of the natural world! Note also that simply throwing together a lot of mortal exhibits won't be enough for a prize: we expect thoughtful theming, decoration, layout, and other touches to really bring your museum together.
You may also give one of your existing museums a thorough overhaul to fit with this theme, but we do mean thorough: take the opportunity to revise your museum not just cosmetically but in its layout, ensuring that it works as a fully themed and realised natural museum. As ever, we reserve the right to reject low-effort entries!
Once you've made your museum, create a YouTube video showing us around in good detail. Include either a voiceover or some subtitles (human voiceover preferred) telling us about your vision and how you've interpreted the brief, especially if it's not obvious.
The best videos will be considered for content boosting, and they must be highly watchable - they should grab the viewer's interest immediately and maintain it throughout. We want to see plenty of detail, so your video should be at least four or five minutes long, but don't exceed ten minutes.

Check out the winners or Curator's Picks in our spring, summer, autumn, and winter museum contests to get a sense of the level of quality and coherent theming we're looking for. A few ideas to fire up your creativity: show us biome-themed sections with (e.g. jungle) animals, plants, and fish all alongside one another; turn the entire museum into a safari or nature walk through different biomes; lean into Zooseum's conservation theme and imagine you're an animal rescue charity; focus solely on botany exhibits and pretend you're running a survivalist research centre in the arctic map...

The possibilities are endless and we're open to many interpretations of the brief. The main things we're looking for are creativity, quality, and attention to detail! This is a contest reward in which the top prizes will go to museums that demonstrate the most of these qualities, and with the best presentation in their videos.

Once the deadline passes, and assuming we receive enough submissions of sufficient quality, we’ll pick a first-, second-, and third-placed winner and award them X, Y, and Z respectively. We may also pick up to X runner-up submissions and award them $Y each. Just reserves the right to reject entries which, in our sole judgement, display low effort, give little value, or violate our content policies (click here for guidance).
