anyone Remeber the devices you could buy that plugged into the back of your PlayStation that were full of cheats? Pretty much was useless though as I Remeber lol

I never had one for the PlayStation, but I do remember the ones for the Gameboy (Game Shark) and Game Gear (Game Genie)!

In fact, I think I've still got my Game Genie lying around somewhere! It had this tiny little book with the actual cheat codes in there, and a plug-in device that you slot into the console and cartridge.

aww break it out and share some pics of it that would be awesome to see! I think the PlayStation ones I had one went in the back of the device and another went in the memory card slot

Mine was getting specific magazines for Sega etc that had cheat codes in the back, such as unlimited invincibility for every level.

Did you ever run into one that had a typo, and you'd have to wait a week (or month) for the correction? 😂

Oh god yes, or they just didn't work and I'd be like "Oh for god's sake!"

I had a program called CheatCodeX with level skips and such for various PC games. Used it once in Dark Forces II as for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to get up somewhere. Wanted to replay the game since ages to see if I'm still such a noob :D

I remember looking at specific magazines to get cheats, although i was so young at the time that I honestly didn't know how to use said cheats HAHA

The amount of pocket money I used to buy those magazines, I think they were between $12-$15
