I played the beta and now the full release of the game and I just say I enjoyed it. It felt like a Ubisoft game with the menus but that’s no biggie as COD menu are pretty terrible also with constant updates and being booted from the lobby so it is of the standard of free to play live service fps shooters currently available (apart from apex and Halo which I find better).

Now the actual gameplay was pretty fun and quite refreshing as it reminded me of playing COD back in the good old days (but not as good) as it felt simple. Some of the abilities were fun but I felt like it was taking me forever to actually eliminate anyone, as if they were bullet sponges taking hardly any damage so I think the time to kill needs altering!

I know it’s comprised of other Ubisoft franchises for the skins in the game but I thought they all generally sucked and not really very interesting, hopefully they add in some more Ubisoft franchises to spice it up a bit, without going too far like COD has as it’s basically like Fortnite with all the bright coloured weird skins and stuff lol

If we could Could only get a free to play shooter that is basically modern warfare 2 multiplayer but free then we would be jamming… unfortunately due to these live service games going to rely on microtransactions for funding its probably gonna get filled with junk!

All that being said, I’ve enjoyed giving it a go, easy better than their last attempt with hyperscape which now felt like a poor mans The Finals (which is fantastic fun btw) and I’ll probably play it again but I don’t see it stealing time from Helldivers 2 which I know it’s a paid game and different but it’s my main multiplayer game these days as the fun levels are off the charts on it!

I like it, personally I think it's a great alternative to the sweat zone that is Call of Duty, my three boys play COD and they get so angry with hackers and for me, ironically there is no "aim assist" for control players which has lead to them complaining about it and people responding with memes which were quite funny.

It's fast paced, its complex yet simple, bring on more content imo.

I’ve been watching a few videos, I’ve not had time to try it out properly yet but I’m getting big Xbox 360 vibes. And what I mean by that is, yes it’s obviously got that Call of Duty DNA running through it, but I was picking up Halo vibes too and it just took me back a little bit to that Halo 3 / COD 4 era of gaming briefly.

As for the gameplay, looks as fun as any decent FPS. Does it have enough about it though to get a foothold in the market? 🤔

Pretty decently designed, fun, a nice break from its more stressful Ubi counterpart, Siege, however something about it just irks me. It feels so "soulless" for lack of a better word. I also don't think it has enough long-term appeal to be another esports hit like Siege, as it seems too similar to something like CS.

So while it's a good bit of fun, it's just too Ubisofty.

I have been playing it since launch in short sessions. The game is polished enough as a standard basic Free To Play game, but due to the depth of the game with the classes and the various perks each faction has, it is not polished well enough in the balancing the gunplay where sometimes the TTK (Time To Kill) takes too much where it shouldn't. Overall, already filled with the MTXs and sleek basic Corporate Ubi style for the menus, it is a rather enjoyable game. Unless you play as Dead Sec. Their announcer, which is the AI of Watch Dogs Legion, is so annoying to hear.

Personally, it absolutely reeks of Ubisoft

The UI has a very dated UI style, cluttered menus and an even worse server response system

I'm sure by now that we've all heard about the hit register problems recently , but I assumed that it wouldn't be too bad - wrong. I'm a player who relies on that quite a bit to control my fire, yet after hundreds of hit registrations, my opponent would walk away in top notch condition at 100hp

Then the absolutely broken abilities and playstyles.... Intel isnt just personal, its a full team. Shields are a full mag dump e.t.c

The game has just too few redeeming qualities for me, and its not like the graphics are top notch for immersiveness either

Needless to say, after waiting 4 minutes for a lobby in NZ/AUS, I don't think it's worth another play for me

I assumed I was just rubbish at it rather than the shots weren't registering. Lol

Lmao, I was too, until I had a mate Screencast as well, and we witnessed it together in the same match but different devices

I tried it yesterday for a couple of hours. I expected it to be rubbish but it's not too bad actually. I wouldn't write it off, it's got a chance of success if they keep working on it.

It does have that standard Ubisoft design by corporate committee personality/style to it, but it's not quite as bad as some of their other releases (e.g hyperscape).

The game/gameplay itself, it's fast paced, the gunplay and movement felt good, it ran at about 150-200fps on max settings 1440p, so nice and smooth while still looking good. The menus are not too cluttered and there is a nice amount of unlocks to progress through while not having too much to make it over the top and overwhelming.

I didn't uninstall it and will probably give it a 2nd go, so that's a win in my mind for it. The thing that puts me off is after 2 hours play I hadn't progressed even a single level on the free battlepass stuff. If I had played fortnite for that long I would probably have done 5-6 levels of tat during that time. They need to massively up the progress on the micro rewards /unlocks that get handed out to make it feel like I'm "winning" something if it's going to keep my interest.

The first time I heard of Ubisoft's making the XDefiant game it seemed to be something promising new in the free-to-play FPS genre. The game offers many unique blends of fast-paced action and strategic gameplay, inspired by Ubisoft's various franchises. the game has undergone significant improvements since initial testing, which shows Ubisoft's commitment to responding to player feedback. Since I love FPS games, it may be a new challenge from other FPS games, although there are already many other FPS competitive games, XDefiant needs to create content that makes other players interested in this game. This game may still be newly released and there needs to be additional content but it can be denied that it will be a game that will compete with COD games etc.

First time I play this game inviting by friend, just be honest I really confuse what should I do to play because so many item and skill to play.

But it one of great FPS games from the graphics, contrast, filter, framerate, visual effect, and design characters is very impressive
