I think consoles will always have that exclusive that will push consumers to buy that console. Nintendo had and continues to cultivate exclusives like Mario, Zelda, and more recently Splatoon+ animal crossing. Sony used to have Grand Theft Auto, Crash, and Uncharted. And Sega used to have Sonic.
So yeah I think it's difficult to associated the Xbox without Chief because it's easier to latch onto games and their protags rather than the consoles themselves
true! will be interesting to see the way Xbox are doing things recently if Halo will end up on PlayStation!?
