Over the past six months or so I've had an interest in the progress and uptake of AI. With the advent of the new year, I've decided to take up short form vertical video content creation as a hobby and outlet for this. I am aiming to utilize AI wherever possible and try out all the different tools and approaches.
I know AI is a devisive subject, especially when it comes to content creation, but I thought it might be an interesting journey to share to see what is possible and how this goes!
Here is my journey so far:
Part 1: Diving Into AI Tools:
My adventure began with a deep dive into AI. I chatted with GPT-4, using my ChatGPT Plus subscription, to flesh out my idea. The chat led me to explore a variety of AI image and video generation services, including Midjourney, RunwayML, Pika.art, Leonardo, and a local installation of Stable Diffusion. After some hands-on experimentation, Midjourney and Leonardo emerged as my top choices for their capabilities and offerings.
Part 2: The Video Editing Quest -
Next, I tackled the challenge of video editing. I tested RunwayML, which specializes in AI video creation, along with other basic cloud services and a local installation of DaVinci Resolve. My goal is to create short-form 9:16 vertical videos, and CapCut stood out as the ideal tool for me. It's perfect for mobile use, offers a straightforward interface for beginners, and they had a tempting 45% off on their annual Pro subscription in a New Year sale. Not sure if this is always on sale or not and I fell for the marketing, but it seemed like an OK deal.
Part 3: Crafting the Brand/name - "IntelliEnigma":
Choosing a brand name was a significant milestone. With more brainstorming with ChatGPT and checks for existing use on platforms along with checks for trademarks in the US and UK, "IntelliEnigma" was born. Tying in neatly with my focus on AI's interpretation and visualization capabilities of the information it is trained on and asked about . I secured the .com domain and established my presence on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and "X". I gave Facebook a miss. I don't plan on using any of them other than YouTube for now.
Part 4: Logo Creation For the logo, I again turned to ChatGPT (a common theme...). The first design it suggested clicked with me and It was a quick decision. This logo now represents the IntelliEnigma brand across platforms.
The Journey Continues -
With the brand and logo established, I'm now in the thick of creating my first video for upload. I'll be sharing another post about that process soon. If you're interested, I'd be happy to post further updates on my progress, challenges, and learnings from this AI-centric content creation journey. Let's see how this unfolds!
