It's time for another content creator spotlight and this time we are featuring Rixx Javix
Can you tell everyone about your content?
I've been a professional creative my entire life. I sold my first drawing in fifth grade an illustration of Iron Man for five bucks. And honestly? I never really stopped. Content creation was just a natural evolution of my creative process and my love for gaming.
I started playing EVE Online in 2008, mainly as a way to share adventures with my son. By 2010, I launched my blog, Eveoganda, to chronicle my journey. That led to creating custom banners for other blogs, alliance logos, forum graphics, and eventually wallpapers, propaganda, and more mostly as a way to explore my art while helping fellow players.
When I closed my creative agency in 2012, I suddenly had a lot more free time. I decided to reconnect with my roots and dive back into illustration. I began creating a series of EVE-inspired spaceship posters, and they quickly gained attention, both within the community and beyond. By 2014, CCP reached out to collaborate on re-launching the EVE Store, which led to them selling eight of my posters. In 2015, I attended my first Fanfest in Iceland not just to meet other EVE players and developers for the first time, but also to host a player presentation, a roundtable, and even sign my posters at Harpa.
My efforts played a key role in paving the way for CCP to officially collaborate with content creators leading to projects like Andrew Groen's History of EVE Online books and licensed EVE artwork from other artists, including myself. Over the years, I've worked with CCP on several projects, including Community Beat branding, the Alliance Open, the opening of their London office, and even a line of Freaky Frigates for the EVE Store. In 2023, Titan-Forge, a company in Poland, reached out to me to help develop an EVE-based board game in partnership with CCP. That project became War for New Eden the most successful EVE Kickstarter in history and will be shipping soon.
Beyond that, I enjoy creating EVE-related content on YouTube, including a Dumb Ways to Die parody that's racked up over 1.2 million views. In-game, I'm the CEO of Stay Frosty and the alliance executor of A Band Apart. I also host EVE's largest annual player-run event, the Frigate Free For All, which has been running for 15 years under the ABA banner. Our next event is happening on Saturday, March 29th, in Amamake, and we've got over 10,000 fully fitted frigates ready to hand out.
Could you tell us about your proudest achievement with content creation?
Since the early days, I've been involved with Broadcast For Reps, a player-run volunteer organization dedicated to supporting those in need, particularly by connecting them with suicide prevention and mental health resources.
About three years ago, I felt the content needed an update from the original video that Coffee Rocks had created over a decade earlier. Coordinating and rallying the community for this effort was a massive task, but absolutely worth it. I'm incredibly proud of the work we've done together and the impact it's had. This community has always been about more than just spaceships, it's about real people supporting each other.
If you could give any advice about content creation, what would it be?
The most important thing? Passion. If you don:t genuinely care about what you're creating, it'll show. The key isn't to chase trends or force content just for likes and views it's about finding your own voice and sticking with it. Your audience will find you.
That said, you also have to be willing to adapt and evolve. Keep challenging yourself, push the boundaries of what's possible, and never settle. Those principles don't just apply to content creation, they're guiding lights for life and career as well.
What is your favorite thing about Just?
I love trying new things. It's rewarding to explore new creative directions, share my experiences with the community, and hopefully inspire others to step outside their comfort zones. It's a space where I can experiment, learn, and give back all at the same time.
