One of the most satisfying features of Critter Café is its portal puzzles - gentle yet enthralling brain-teasers in which you solve an otherworldly landscape in order to free an adorable critter. Some of them can be quite challenging, and that got us thinking: how quickly could one of these be solved?
We'd like to see you have a go at 'speedrunning' one of these puzzles, which is to say, solving it as quickly as possible. The puzzle we've chosen is number six, the one to rescue Starbii, whose rift appears at the pond near the ruins in Honeycrisp Grove. It's perhaps the first really lengthy, reasonably complicated puzzle in the game, with plenty of box-pushing moves to optimise - we can't wait to see what you make of it.
Please submit a video clip of you 'speedrunning' this puzzle. Prizes will, very simply, be awarded, in order, to those clips which solve it fastest: we'll count from the moment your character spawns into the puzzle from the loading screen to the moment your gameplay cuts to the critter-rescue cutscene. Remember to submit through connected social media!
