once again i jumped my carrier to a system, found a CZ of my choice, and went to it, jumping my carrier to a point as close as possible in system, at the conclusion of the CZ i got a notification that the carrier jump was successful, locked on to it 1.94Mm away, once in hyperspace it disappeared, looking at my nav it was still in the original position, this happens constantly, so i relogged to update the nav, no, it was still in the same spot by the nav, ok, the carrier jump failed, so i locked onto it and travelled across the system back to my carrier, upon dropping out, the carrier was nowhere to be seen, checking the nav it was now where i told it to go, so i once again traversed the system, not having wasted my time engineering an SCO for my corvette as they are utterly useless on an old ship, and just make the ship uncontrollable after a couple of seconds, upon arrival there the carrier was.
this happens constantly, as does locking onto a point, jumping into hyperspace to discover you're locked onto some random point nowhere near your destination, this has been happening since i started playing over 8 years ago, along with a veritable cornucopia of other faults in the game mechanics.
my beef is that fdev are constantly working on new content to attract people to the game, that has these fundamental flaws in the game mechanics, wouldn't it be better to actually fix the game mechanics before adding glitter?
i love this game and it's concept, but a lot of players just walk away as the QOL in game mechanics isn't there, and to all intents and purposes, the dev's seem to have no care for the quality of the game and seem only interested in more "glitter" instead of the core game mechanics.
have fun 07
