The EVE community has come together and is moving so fast to solve this. I'll comment on the couple of things I'm aware of so far.
First of all, farming the Jove Observatories to find the Jovian Symbolic fragments. This is done by connecting to the JO using an Entosis link. The two techniques I have seen for running this 'safely' are either in a very fast slasher, where you land at 0, inatiate link and then burn away as fast as possible, you should still successfully extract data at at least 500km away. The rats won't catch you.
Or, my corp mate is using a passive tanked sigil.
This has enough passive regen to easily tank the 4 lancers that spawn and you can afk cycle the entosis link.
Important things to note for these sites - if you agress the rats, more will spawn in. But most importantly don't run them in systems where drifter wormholes can spawn because a drifter battleship will warp in and kill you!
There are supposedly 30 of these Jovian Symbolic fragments and they have all been found by multiple people. These are useless though without knowing where to use them.
Data fragments can be found in very rare drops from angel and caldari commander spawns. These are very rare drops though, we're hearing of regular reports of people farming them for 10-12 hours without any success. However many have already been found and the video file contained within them can be downloaded. When peiced together fully they should give the exact locations and order in which to start using the Jovian Symbolic fragments to complete a series of warps to take you to the gate.
There is a discord server (message me separately for a link) where the fragments arre being bought and are being peiced together. So far enough information has been pulled out to work out the systems which the gates are located in (at least they're confident this is the case!). The fragments mention to type and size of four stars, which you can then consult dotlan to fid out which systems the stars are.
That's where we're at so far I think... though while i've been typing this im sure aother breakthrough will have been made!

So far.... Entosis link to the jove observatory, collect the warp letter alphabet. that's as far as I've gotten

I'm hoping the Deathless bring us a new pirate line of ships. A cross between Minmatar and Caldari with bonus to ECM, perhaps even allowing jammers to operate the way they used to before the nerf (previously, getting jammed would prevent you from locking any other ship. These days, you can lock only the ship jamming you).
I believe CCP will want to build upon the successes of Pochven, so the mysterious new Jove gates may take us to a previously undiscovered region controlled by the Deathless. While there is an argument to be made against expanding the number of available systems in order to prevent any further dilution to player density, it could be done in such a way as to make the new region a hotbed of PVP and content.
CCP have shown their desire to force players into closer areas bringing increased interactions. Think Observatory Flashpoints being lucrative and yet limited to only 3 sites at a time. Or the new Faction Warfare frontline mechanics condensing players into a handful of systems.
I expect if we do get a new region, it will showcase CCP's latest iteration of high risk, high reward content that drives conflict. I would also not be surprised if the new systems were within jump range of the Dronelands, but perhaps that is asking for too much. Time will tell!
