I have no idea how to expand or link directly to the YT post. But have followed all other directions.

Cheers Rushlock. That link took me to YT/@RushlockMedia/community, you can just upload the video URL and it should expand automatically, as below:

Alternatively, if you're on your YouTube community page, you can right click > copy link on the date you shared the post (in this case, it just said '11 hours ago') which will direct to here.

Either way, no further action needed on this bounty, I'll log your submission as the Tripwire video submission. o7

Feel free to ignore this submission since it's deviating a little from the prompt.

My advice to anyone who is new to mappers is to get experience using another mapper first. Tripwire may be a versatile and useful mapper, but it is far from the most intuitive or easy mapper to use. Instead, I'd recommend getting your feet wet with a mapper like GalaxyFinder which operates like TripWire in that it is a sig-based mapper. This means that every time you paste sigs into the mapper, it autopopulates with the ones that have been determined to be wormholes as connections in the chain that haven't been jumped yet. This gives a leg up on one of the other popular mappers, Pathfinder, which is entirely dependent on tracking the movements of players through chains in order to generate new connections.

Once you've got the basics of copy and pasting sigs; marking mass, age, and type into the mapper you'll be able to transition to using a more complex mapper like TripWire. The nice thing about these mappers is that when you've learned how to use one, the skills and habits you developed to make that one useful will transfer to the next mapper you use. The biggest hurdle to switching to TripWire is the added features and layout. All that can be customized and tweaked as you go along, but just getting familiarized with a simpler mapper will allow you develop all the good habits of jspace and then once you've got those down you can start diving into a more feature-rich mapper like TripWire.

Make sure whoever is hosting is a trusted source , your enemies can very well see your mapper if it is not secured. Make sure you have a dedicated IT master in growing corps to make these things go smoothly.

Thanks Rdog ! We're looking for minimum 100-word answers for this bounty. Could you elaborate a bit? Maybe make it a bit more new-player friendly. o7

    • Create a Tripwire account and link it to your EVE Online account via the EVE API for automatic updates.

  2. Use the Interface:

    • Use the System Map to see wormhole connections and the Signatures Table to track scanned sites and wormholes.

  3. Efficient Scanning:

    • Regularly input scanned data into Tripwire, label signatures correctly, and refresh the page for updates.

  4. Navigate Safely:

    • Plot safe routes using the system map and note any wormholes that connect to high-sec space.

  5. Collaborate:

    • Share your data with your corporation or alliance in Tripwire to help everyone navigate more safely.

  6. Advanced Tips:

    • Bookmark important wormholes in both the game and Tripwire.

    • Track the time when you first find a wormhole to avoid getting trapped when it collapses.

Tripwire helps you stay organized and safe while exploring wormholes in EVE Online—a must-have tool for new explorers.
