Feeder weekends vanquished, this Alliance Tournament is shaping up to be just as exciting as we expected. We hopped on the hype train and challenged our community members to create their very own trailers, and boy oh boy have they surpassed themselves. You’re in for a treat.
First place: Rixx Javix
“Honor. Pride. Glory. Victory.” Rixx Javix's perfectly timed, slickly executed trailer gave us goosebumps. You’d never guess it was fan-made. A well-deserved first-place win. Check it out:
Second place: Fun Inc
While most entrants opted to repurpose CCP’s previously published cinematic footage, FUN INC did it the hard way by using only real gameplay footage taken from the tournament’s feeder weekend Twitch streams. Moreover, he wrote the lyrics to an original song and then got AI to turn it into a soundtrack for the trailer. Fun Inc, we salute your tremendous efforts; they’ve absolutely paid off. This. Is. Epic.
Third place: Kane Carnifex
Kane Carnifex's video-recruitment ads have been cropping up over the feeder weekends, and they’re very impressive. Even more impressive is his trailer, titled All Star Highlights, which goes back through the Alliance Tournament trailers of recent years, building hype for this extra special iteration. Enjoy!
Runner up: Sturmer
Educational, informative, and not shy of explosions. Sturmer has done a great job too. Can you spot the hidden “easter egg on a thumb”?
Runner up: Luka Zaharin
Submitting his bounty entry just in the nick of time, we have LukaZaharin. While the audio levels make it slightly difficult to make out at times, he’s dramatically reused the quote on the Alliance Tournament Monument from Interstellar Gaming Commissioner Khumat Mebroh. We’ve included the quote underneath Luka’s trailer so you can read along.
"Throughout history humanity has struggled for survival, fortune and glory. The fight to exceed nature's limits continues but as often the combat is within and between ourselves.
"While the need to hunt for food is long behind us, and life itself is seldom a daily struggle for survival, we still crave the fearful rush that comes with the imminence of death.
"There is both terror and majesty in combat: from the steel swords and wooden shields of ancient conflicts; to the hulking masses of kilometers-long spacecraft unleashing firepower to equal that of entire planetary wars.
"No matter the tools, no matter the arena, all clashes of arms meet and fulfill the same purpose: the need to fight, and the determination to win."
