Which Director would get your butt in the seat at the cinema?

Although films are largely a collaborative effort, it often falls on the visionary guidance of the director to make sure the film goes from live-action motion to printed on that 35mm film and then projected onto the silver screen for all of us to enjoy. As I've gotten older, I've realised that the allure of beautiful actors wanes as I appreciate the cinematography and pacing of a film much more. How it is cut, how it looks, the way the camera moves etc and often it is down to the director's vision (unless the studio execs get their hands on it).
