My absolute favourite director is David Lynch, although I don't feel confident that he's got another feature length film in him as he seems to have slowed down a lot as he's gotten older. His last feature length film was 2007!

Martin Scorsese movies are always worth watching. I absolutely loved Killers of the Flower Moon, and I think generally his recent films have been fantastic.

Beyond that, I also really rate Ari Aster, Jordan Peele, Greta Gerwig, Wes Anderson, the Safdie brothers, and Bong Joon-Ho

Oh man I completely forgot about Jordan Peele. I loved Us and Nope!

I can honestly say I have never chosen to see a film based on the director or whos in the cast. Its a bonus if its a director I know and whos work I have enjoyed in the past but I always choose to see a film based on my first impressions of trailers or because I am a fan of the genre.

Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan.

A

Denis Villeneuve because at the moment we are 3 out of 3 in regard to a good (Blade Runner 2047)/great (Dune I and II) viewing experience.

Others would include James Cameron, Christopher Nolan albeit I know I'll come out with "what did I watch...?", and Steven Spielberg because he really is a classic.

mmmm I’d probably say James Cameron, Christopher Nolan, Stephen Spielberg. Would really love to see Nolan take on the James Bond franchise for a few movies, I think he would crush it!

I have a similar list and feelings. As an extra I have Denis Villeneuve and Guy Ritchie in my list.
