Oh man...
you checked it out? I am surprised Netflix released this given they have just bought the rights for billions to air WWE on Netflix!
I've never been able to take WWE seriously, mainly because I live in a country where it's not very widespread, I'm going to watch it so I can give it a chance, I see how popular it is in the world and I'd like to interact with that haha
Approach it the same way you would anime or Game of Thrones. It's not meant to be 'real,' it's a crafted narrative where everyone does their own stunts. There's interesting characters and different stories all being told in parallel, but it is going to ask you to suspend your disbelief. A lot.
It's hard to find these days, but if you're interested in Wrestling but want something that plays things out more like a traditional TV show (aside from the matches themselves), Lucha Underground from the mid 2010s was a good version of that.
Of course, we can't watch it with the same eyes as UFC, thanks for the recommendation!
McMahon is reportedly FURIOUS with this documentary. It was supposedly pitched to him and his team as being more positive at least in regards to Vince himself than it wound up being. Some folks are saying this could cause issues with Vinny Mac's current legal trouble.
I didn't know this series existed, I found it interesting!
