Useful and succinct review dude! I'm not normally a horror fan but I love both vampires and the gothic aesthetic so have been seriously considering this one.

Doooo iiit. Nosferatu calls to you through the ether.

And thanks! I try to pack as much information into 60 seconds as possible without any spoilers lol

Love to hear this as I really want to see it. I've read some terribly creepy things about all the trained rats on set!

Aw rats aren’t creepy they are sweet! They are like kittens who wax their tails lol

I thoroughly enjoyed this when I saw it at the cinema! Willem Dafoe came across a little comedic at times, but it was a welcome break from the overwhelming sense of dread that hung over the rest of the film.

Yeah he is a little kooky haha but otherwise definitely a foreboding and classically tense film

I love this film, I think Lily-Rose Depp in particular is excellent in it. Aesthetically it's probably about as close to a Bloodborne movie as anyone could ever hope for, too

Well do I have a treat for you!

Brotherhood of the Wolf is cited as a major influence to Bloodborne. It’s a French flick (very early 2000’s can’t remember the exact year).

As far as the themes and plot, Bloodborne is its own thing, but the aesthetic influence is very clear

Happily rent this but I do love vampire stuff.
