Hi everyone

We’re going to be trying something a little different on Just About Video Games over the next couple of months, and just to make sure no one is confused when we do, we’re here to give you a heads-up (and to invite your feedback!).

Over the coming weeks, in addition to JAVG’s usual programming, we’ll be running multiple bounties based on the following games and IP:

• Dungeons and Dragons

• GTA

• Helldivers

• Microsoft Flight Simulator

• Minecraft

• Pokémon

• Warhammer

We want to broaden the scope of things for you to get involved with, and it makes sense to start with games that have some of the biggest communities, but also ones that vary a little in nature. That’s why we’re covering a diverse range, from core video gaming franchises (GTA and Minecraft) to the hottest indie of the moment (Helldivers) to the more specialised but still huge Flight Sim community, and so on.

We know that Warhammer and D&D are primarily tabletop games and so the fit with our Video Games community isn’t exactly perfect… but it’s better than Music.

We are extremely interested in the reception these will get.

We’ve got lots of bounties for each IP lined up, and can make them more knowledge-dependent if we see that we’ve got, say, loads of members who’ve DMed a D&D campaign. A lot of these IPs contain different games, too, so if we see that Warhammer 40k is revving your engine but Age of Sigmar is leaving you cold, we’ll be ready for that outcome as well.

And if we get a ton of excitement for a particular IP, that’ll be a factor as we consider the next steps for Just About at a broader level.

With that in mind, there’s no such thing as too much feedback, so speak up in the comments and tell us what you think of these seven games. Are you a passionate player of any who will definitely get involved? Have you always been curious and will dive in just because of us? Or are you disinterested in all of the above?
