Hey everyone, it’s time to celebrate another week of your great posts across our communities! This week, we’ve got a bit of everything for you, but there’s a running theme of celebrating the under-celebrated. Read on and join us in the replies.
Two video game icons celebrated their birthdays last week - the Nintendo 64 and the Grand Theft Auto franchise. MURRRAAAAY put out posts commemorating both occasions, but it was his question asking which GTA game is best that really picked up steam. Add your take below:
We’d also like to shine our light on this thoughtful post by Lanah Tyra which discusses how the loudest voices in a community often unfairly have the most sway, even if they’re not always those that are most worth listening to. As my grandmother always says, ‘the empty kettle makes the most noise’. What do you think?
Another great video-game post that flew under the radar was this one from Makster asking about the best guest characters in games. Add your opinion to Makster’s post, and we might even turn the topic into a bounty:
Over at Just About Pokémon, we’ve had some amazing entries to our just-closed Pokémon fan-art bounty. Also Seán asks “who’s the best Pokémon and why is it Farfetch’d?” Do you agree that it’s everyone’s favourite leek-wielding duck, or do you think it’s time Weepinbell had its place in the sun?
There’s a lot happening on Just About EVE at the moment, as shown by Kane Carnifex's Alliance Tournament post and the riddles leading up to our $500 bounty. But three members who will go underappreciated no longer are Kane, EveOnlineTutorials and Jaques Ufaltred - all of whom have now been added to our growing list of players immortalised in-game thanks to our community fittings partnership with CCP.
On to Just About Content Creators now; Twitch is trying to make sure its creators get the recognition they deserve with their newly announced creator awards. Thanks to Murray for bringing that one to our attention, just as we’d like to bring your attention to Sturmer’s Gamescom and Devcom preparation post and Dave's post asking for feedback about vlogging his dream doggo project.
With so much good stuff happening around the platform, we can only apologise to anyone whose posts haven't received their rightful recognition. But we’ll leave you with three more we like, one in Just About Music and two in Just About Sport: Lanah Tyra’s sharing of a 300-musician Final Fantasy XIV medley, Damo's hunt for MotoGP fans, and Makster’s questions on workout routines.
