Hey folks, it’s time for our weekly Wednesday platform update. There are plenty of exciting things on the horizon but we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves! Instead, let’s look at some recent changes from across the platform.
#InstagramIsBack
After a brief hiatus while we fixed a bug, Instagram is back and can now be added to your connected social accounts! The new verification process is nice and simple.
Here’s how it works:
Open the connected accounts page in your JA settings and click ‘connect’ next to Instagram
Copy the unique hashtag that appears then open Instagram in a new window
Post an image and paste the unique hashtag into the description, or edit an existing post and add the hashtag
Copy the URL of whichever post has your hashtag, and head back to JA
Paste the image URL in the field underneath the unique hashtag then click ‘connect’

Bug fixes and optimisations
Our hardworking tech team has been focused on some behind-the-scenes updates over the last few weeks. These are the ones - a small proportion of the whole - that you might have seen around the platform:
Users are now presented with a modal that shows other reward opportunities after they have successfully submitted to a bounty
The activity page now shows up to 150 notifications
Fixed an issue that caused Twitch embeds not to be recognised as videos in reward submissions
No longer shows moderator edit reasons when editing a post as a non-moderator
Connecting Instagram accounts with usernames that contain a full stop no longer fails
