In keeping with the game's themes, there aren't many ways to 'control' your build in Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, but what you can do is embrace randomness. You can react to the first card you get offered and the first few relics that pop up by leaning into particular status effects, boosting particular damage types, or swapping out old relics until everything is just right to take on the endgame challenges.
For this reward, we want you to create a guide that explains how to do that, but we're doing this as a contest because it's going to be a fair bit of work. We want a guide that recommends next steps based on anything that could come up in the early game, which means you'll (probably) need to discuss weapons, weapon enhancements, cards, and relics individually, and to compare the relative merits of different stats and damage types.
This is a podium-finish contest which will only close and be judged on July 25. Better top prizes will go to guides that a) dive deep into all the components of an effective build, and b) explain to new players how they can create an effective build from any (or almost any) start. If you'd rather talk about your favourite cards or show off a particular build that worked for you, we've got rewards for both of those things, but we're looking for more depth here!
You can enter in one of two ways:
A guide video, with lots of your original gameplay footage and writing.
A written guide for the game's Steam guides hub. Your guide must contain the words 'Written for a reward on Just', with a link to this reward, so that we know you created it. Your submission to this reward should be a social media post containing a link to your Steam guide. Use of generative AI is, as always, strictly forbidden.
