I did collegiate Fencing back in the day where each match was first 5 points. However if your score was 5-4 - the losing side (in the next match) could still bring up the score if they'd score 6 points so it allows allowed for the losing team to make back their points (as long as it was within the time limit). It did make for some really intense games as since points cumulated it never felt like the victory was ever out of reach.

I would like to fuse it with an unusual partner. My favourite e-sport is fighting games specifically Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. Now this game came out in 1999 and without patches or updates, the meta is well and truly established in terms of top tier characters, weaknesses, strengths, match ups etc which can make for some dull matches of Chun Lis, Kens, and Yun mirror matches.

The Cooperation cup does away with that as it makes 5 teams of 5 each team cannot have a duplicate character. However the key part is; once your team member is out, the winner stays on. This makes for intense games a lot rides on your anchor or strongest player.

I'd like to do that for Fencing so instead of gaining points, you're fighting to stay in the game. As it is winner stays on, the winning fencer will get more and more tired and will have to compete harder to retain their points. Obviously once a fencer drops 5 points they will have to retire til the next one. 5 fencers per team per weapon. So it'll put more emphasis on the survival rather than gaining points which will make for a more defensive game

This is my and my wife's choice:

We present to you Swicket!

This combines Swimming and Cricket.

You have two teams on either side of the pool, one side taking a turn to bat, but instead of a bat, it would be a pool noodle to bat a beach ball, and once the ball was "noodled", you have to score, not by running back and forth, but by swimming back and forth, but have to do this underwater swimming with snorkels, whilst the other team will have to swim to grab the beach ball to the field and to get the opponent out, they have to then throw the beach ball at the snorkelling swimmers!

Hence, Swicket!

I can see this! I used to play water polo in my youth. You'll get really fit from just replacing the running with swimming.

I can see the batting end being in the shallow end and the fielding end in the deep end. It'll be really tough to get any power in the swing in if you have your batters treading water the whole time.

My pitch for a new sport: Kicket!

I'm technically combining a few sports here but the general premise would be football x cricket. The ball size would be more similar to the classic handball than either a football or a cricket ball. The pitch and field would be the shape/size of a wicket and the gameplay would be similar to cricket but instead of a bat and ball, it's a kicking game. The stumps would be slightly wider but shorter and the wicket shorter too to allow more power to the bowling and fielding team.

Dotted around the boundary would be some drums/nets that would score additional points to get it in but with the added jeopardy that the fielding team could cover them. Anything above hip height would be a no ball. The standard scoring system of cricket would apply plus additional points for scoring goals in the nets.

Thank you, I'm looking for a 100% investment for a $4 bounty please.

Cricket is the one sport I have never been able to get into, but you know what, this could convert me!

so in a drunken state i came up with with a modern day medievil event of wheelchair jousting where people get in wheel chairs and grab cardboard tubes and find a hill and have at each other who ever gets knocked out the wheelchair is a loser

Sounds like the sort of thing you could play after a night out with trolleys in an empty Tesco car park!

VolleyARROW: Archery and Volleyball

Rules: Teams compete on a beach volleyball court.

Instead of hands, players use recurve bows to shoot arrows.

Arrows must hit the opponent’s side of the court to score points.

Players Carry a small shield to stop arrows hitting the floor.

There must be an onsite medic incase anyone pulls a muscle or something.

Okay, this one is BasketBall Jenga.

I officially invented this sport too years ago, which mixes the action packed dunking of basketball and the intense nail biting that jenga brings

It is a 1v1 sport. In my office at work we have a small basketball net and a tower of jenga.

The rules

One player gets 3 throws from a certain distance to make the basket.

0 baskets mean when your third throw is over you have to take a block from jenga 1 basket means you are safe 2 baskets means that you're opponent has to take one block from jenga after your go 3 baskets mean's that you're opponent has to take three blocks from jenga after your go

And the standard rules of jenga apply, so if you score 2 baskets, you're opponent takes a block and if the tower falls down you win!

You basically keep going back and forth until the tower falls down, honestly this game is sooooooooooooo much fun (especially when you get paid to play it at work when no one is in the office), it's really intense and you get so good at both sports

I feel that you have too much down time in your office haha

Basketfootball

Basketfootball is played on a standard soccer field but features two basketball hoops strategically positioned above each football goal (the same size as standard basketball hoops).

The game is played with a standard football ball, equipment, and two teams, each with 11 players, including a goalkeeper. The main objective of the game is to score points either by scoring a goal into the goal net (1 point) or by throwing the ball into the basketball hoop (3 points).

Players can move the ball by kicking or dribbling it with their feet. However, within a 30-yard zone from the basketball hoops, players are allowed to pick up the ball and either shoot it into the basketball hoop or pass it to a teammate. Once the ball is in hand within this zone, players cannot take more than three steps without dribbling (bouncing the ball on the ground).

Goalkeepers are restricted to their penalty area but can use their hands anywhere within the 18-yard box.

Ultimate Tazer Ball meats Inline Skates (or for safety roller skates)

Tazer Ball is what it is,if you have the Ball you will get tazerd. But you are actually on foot so imagine how they fall if they have inline skates on.

If you don´t know Ultimate Tazer Ball, here i have you covered:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOJSwcKlroc

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Tazer_Ball

The "ball setup" is already stolen from so many other Games. Once you get the ball you need to hit the Goal. The defender tries to stop you… with tazers.

There is #1 Major rule: The only contact you have with other players is the TAZER and only if he has a connection to the ball. Trust me you decide twice in your head if you want to touch the ball or not.

Grind my gears if I see football(Soccer for Freedom Peeps)  and they act like useless gorillas. Also i think you will fall more often if you are on something which is moving.

OK I got this, i've thought long and hard and i'm going for....

SkyBowling!!!

In SkyBowling, athletes take to the skies on skis, launching themselves off ramps high above a massive ten pin bowling alley outdoors with massive pins (they would need to be foam of some sort so it didnt hurt the compeetitors I guess lol). SkyBowling combines the thrill of ski jumping with the precision and strategy of bowling, creating a unique and exciting hybrid sport that pushes athletes to their limits.

Objective of the sport: The objective is to land ski jumps into the target giant ten pin bowling pins and knock down as many as possible. You get two shots per fresh pin lineup just like ten pin bowling! You also get bonus points for tricks pulled off mid air, think back-flipping into the pins lol The more pins knocked down, the higher the score.

Honestly, just visualise this, it would be one heck of a spectacle lol I could actually imagine something like this on Takeshi's castle!
