I build my PC since ever. First PC was custom Build from the money we get a child from the church when we whatever... bla bla free Money!

I have build it for friends aswell. Some of my Friends wanted Hell Machines... i warned them which its overpriced. Was the time which you could connect upto 3 GPUs via SLI. Anyway if you build stuff like that you PC need to be next Level. What is a next Level ?

100% Watercooling System.

So you are right below is my MASTERPIECE in the 3rd Generation.

I may not win the Contest for the best looking one. (Yes, Hardtubes look much better...and red = blodd bla blub bla)

LittleDevil LD PC-V8 ATX Liquid Cooling PC -> Bigger is better, more space, more freedom (also have big hands...g)

The case is quite old(+7 years) and for 500 Bucks this metal monster sustained serveral Lan Parties. It has space for upto 3x Raditors (3x Fan ofc). Also the case is now hosting new hardware for the 3rd time. In case of Earthquake wear it has a hat to be safe.

Watercooling System (This also the 3rd. reused) 2x 3x Fan Raditor (don´t ask me the fansize :P) Aquacomputer Aquastream XT (this was updated between the 1st to 2nd) 2x Wasserreservoir (because we don´t want to refill) For the GPU always and sometimes the CPU you need new cooling.

Installation difficulity:

CPU, easy.

GPU you need to find the refernce model and than you buy the cooling. Because the screwholes are diffrent on each model and they WILL not match. You need to remove the Fans from it and mount the watercooling. Waranty is lost in this process.

Note: You can build it up however you want since the temp. will level itself.

Pro Tip: There are knowdays plug and play connectors which makes it super easy to rebuild it. I use the Kitchen Clips to stop the "water"... i would change this in the 4th version maybe in 2026.

The Current Hardware:

Seasonic PRIME-TX-1000, 80+ Titanium, 1000 W Why? Because i can and it has 12 Years Warranty and saves most money. ^^ I did some math and in 12 Years I maybe win.

GTX 4080 Why? Because the fucking 800 Bucks Main Monitor is Gsync so i am soulbounded to Nvidia. I could have saved ~300 Bucks but neehh.

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Why? Hits my sweet spot, but is definitly overscaled. -> I run the 4080 also with the AMD 7 5800X and jeah... was ok.

32GB RAM (4x 8 GB DDR5-5200 DIMM CL36 ) Why? Had 16 in the old one and it felt like we needed more. And yes we needed it! also CL means shit.

There are serveral NVME SSD inside, aswell a fancy gen 5 which has an exclusive gen 5 port. -> ASRock X670E Pro

So do you really need a GEN 5 PCI?

The answer is NO, because GPU are still V4 and only the NVME are in V5. So if you need to safe money here is some sweet spot, beside the newly released AM4 CPUs.

Dust, even with some Dustprotection it sneaks in

Here you see the Pump with the Watermonitoring and my super lazy cabeling.

Like look at this space...and how short this GPU is if you go from air to Water.

Some Temp information:

Winter it runs stable between 28°C up to 35°C in somer we can reach the 50°C depending on the outside temp. Never had faulty Hardware expect this one PSU which died.* But if you don´t by Seasonic you buy twice (a lot of PSU have Seasonic inside)

For the future i could think about to get external watercooling and just make a mini Barbone PC which two external water plugs... I don´t need to use PC Watercooling Stuff, i can just go for regular ones which are much cheaper... also would allow me to run multiple systems with just one watercooling system.

  • If I would run tripple EVE the system randomly shuts off and need to have a hard reset. Took me a while to figure it out it could be the PSU which began to die.

Have fun :)

Very impressive, Kane! Thanks for going to all that effort!

Once i get the spellchecking in firefox working i start taking care of the spelling. For the meantime the brain will just adept to it aslong you are not a english teacher :P

I actually did work as an English teacher for many years, but fear not: I'm not going to set you any homework.

Spell check in most browsers doesn't seem to work in this sites editor for some reason.

I have a solution to your dust problem!

All you need to do is re-arrange fans' position to ensure positive pressure in a case (more air inside the case than outside). This method prevents dust from entering the case through unfiltered spaces.

It is also recommended to place fans after radiators in 'pull' mode.

To verify the pressure all you need to fire 2-3 incense sticks and see if smoke is sucked inside case or pushed away from any hole which is not near the fans.

TDLR: positive pressure + pull = 0 dust in the case.

So the top one is actually pulling (sucking) raditor in front and dustshield above. -> My Idea was i want some airflow on the Mainboard due the missing airflow due the watercooling.

But the PSU is Sucking and the bottom one from site to site and needs some extra love from time to time.

On the otherside.. black is magnet for dust.

I keep you all updated for 2026 :P

if you got negative pressure, then your case works as a vacuum cleaner, and you can't close all holes and gaps. With positive pressure, you can have just one mesh filter for intake and a dust-free case

So here is the link to my Twitter Post that has a picture of my Setup.

Whilst it's not the most superpowered setup, It does the job I need it to do. Video making, rendering, etc.

Love it! I'm currently a lowly single-screen man, but I can't wait to multi-screen again!

For over a decade, I've built more than 100 computers for friends, family, various projects, personal use, and even for sale. They ranged from casual to gaming setups, some with fancy RGB lighting and others with a clean aesthetic. However, one project stood out from the rest – a GPU crypto-mining rig. I built it entirely from scratch at a time when mining was not yet mainstream. I had to design everything, including the configuration of components, the rig frame, the wiring, and even custom BIOS for the GPUs. It started as a prototype for a friend, who later expanded it into a large crypto farm. This project included both hardware and software, and taught me so many things during the building process

Okay, wow. You may just have been elected our new PC-building bounty consultant.

MURRRAAAAY's avatar

wow that is super impressive! Do you still mine ?

Sturmer's avatar

Nope, but the knowledge I gained back then I use in current projects, after all, blockchain is just a robust way to store data and smart contracts to interact with that data.

MURRRAAAAY's avatar

cool, hoping smart contracts will revolutionise some financial transactions to safe guard users from fraud etc and make processes like buying or renting houses way more straightforward and safer! Fingers crossed we start to see more utilisation of this tech in the future!

So I have a confession to make...

The lights are all red because of that stupid fan at the front which came with the case... Can't change the light on it so had to sync everything to it 😂

Here is my dream machine! Love my PC but I think I will need to perform some more upgrades soon! Recently upgraded the RAM to 32gb from 16gb but I feel the processor which is the AMD Ryzen 3800x is starting to slow a tad, especially as I use Davi ce resolve for video editing which uses the CPU for rendering videos! So I am thinking about a future upgrade to a Ryzen 5000 chip as it should be a straightforward and cost effective swap out as the Motherboard I have will support it. Any recommendations please let me know!

Other key specs is it has a 1tb nvme ssd and an RTX 3080 GPU… I’d also like to upgrade the ssd in future as it’s not the fastest with around 3k per sec read/ write and I think upping this to a super fast one would also help when editing with large files!
