I'd be an absolute narcissist to say myself, right? So, I guess I'll go with some of my biggest inspirations:

PC Gamer

The folks over there aren't just knowledgeable; they have a distinct tongue-in-cheek tone. There's a level of sarcasm and scepticism that comes from years of dealing with products, but they aren't overly cynical. At Club386, we're incredibly technical and often go into perhaps too much detail. PC Gamer keeps it a bit shorter and lighter, making for great lunchtime reading.

randomfrankp

In video form, randomfrankp takes the cake. I love GamersNexus, LinusTechTips, and MKBHD for the high technicals, but randomfrankp takes a more consumer approach to his reviews. They're easier to digest in the background with a positive overtone. Plus, I just wanted to offer someone a bit different here.

I really like Senpai Gaming, he has a very smooth and professional style, clearly knows what he's talking about and will give you an honest review of a product, even if there are things he doesn't like about it. Like his latest video about the new Elgato 4kx capture card, interesting to see how different experience he had as a reviewer with different brands:

And bonus points for chaptering the video so you can easily skip the ad part if you are not interested.

Oh easy, has to be this one guy called avrona. Super entertaining and informative.

On a serious note, I know it's an obvious option, but it's hard to beat LTT right now. There are a lot, A LOT, of things I find annoying about what they do, from some of the presentation choices being rather cringey, and many of their other content policies are weird, but their output is so high, that there's always something to watch. And their production quality is unmatched. They also aren't so boring to get through like same Gamer's Nexus, or have that almost snobbish presentation that irks me about someone like MKBHD, though I do watch him from time to time. After recently being invited out as a creator by them to LTX and going on a tour with other YouTubers around their offices, you really get a sense of the amount of effort that goes into everything they do. Writing this out just really made me wish that someone will finally come along and dethrone them in a way, improve on what they're doing wrong. I really hope it does happen to help keep competition moving in the space.

For retro tech reviews, you can't beat LGR though. The style of videos is so informative and relaxing, and is one of the few YouTubers where every single minute feels so valuable you feel almost sad it's over and you have to wait for another hit from whenever the next video will be. As someone really into retro tech, I've been getting lots of purchasing advice from him and the many various older products he reviews and showcases.
